FREE FOR ALL... Vehicles crawling towards Petaling Jaya on the Metramac highway after the goverment abolished the toll plazas yesterday. Works Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor said the toll collection was being abolished seven years before the concession period for the highway was due to end on May 31, 2018.
FREE FOR ALL...but in the end it is the Rakyat who pays!

My question to the Works Minister is simply this:
1 How much will the toll concessionary company be compensated for termination of their toll
collection agreement seven years before it was due to expire?
2. Is the super subsidy cut announced for 1st of June for diesel to go towards this
compensation?
3. Before Najib announces that the abolishment of this Metramac Highway has got nothing to
do with the coming General Election can the Works Minister please confirm same.
HH....this looks like the biggest car park in the world. I pass on the opposite side three times a week at around 8am. This is an everyday gridlock even when the 50c toll was in force. Along this stretch they have opened one lane on our side of the expressway.
