cakap cakap....UMNO above the Law?

steadyaku47 comment : Food for thought from Sopian. Saya setuju!

I am not a lawyer. But when an organisation like UMNO writes an article in its constitution prohibiting its members from bringing cases against itself to court, doesn't that put UMNO to be above the law of the land?

And what kind of laws are we having when Gadis Langkawi Anina brought a case against the President of UMNO, she was expelled. Then ergo, not being a member, she is said to have no locus standi by the court of law and therefore, the case is dismissed!

Lawyers may have their "legal" argument/s for such a situation. But to me, the whole scenario doesn't appear to serve the cause of justice.

The unsatisfactory situation is this; what if the organisation such as UMNO is taken over by "bad people"?

What legal recourse do we have as citizens of the country? Just wait and let it be as crimes and wrongdoings are perpetuated?

Laws MUST serve the cause of JUSTICE. The court of law must not allow a "bad" situation like that to exist.
