The whole truth and nothing but the truth?

In all probability the 13th General Election will be upon us within the first half of 2011. When the politicians have done talking it is the people who will decide who will govern Malaysia. We will decide who will make our laws, who will determine how our economy will be managed and how the forces of good and evil in the country are harnessed to best serve the interest of our country’s future.

There is little room for error when we make our choice. If we are to err let it be on the side of common sense and sensible judgement – not on the possibility or probability that the people we elect will keep the promises of good governance they have made to us in the heat of campaigning for their time in power/government.  So who will it be? DSAI or Najib Tun Razak? Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Rakyat?

What has Najib Tun Razak done since he came into power as Prime Minister in April 2009?

With each day he has grown in stature as a national leader and as an individual. He walks the talk. He consults; he has time and time again turun padang to meet with the Rakyat. He makes an effort at reaching consensus with all races in the making of policies that his government implements. He is patient when there is dissent, conciliatory when there is conflict and yet firm when needed to do what is good for the nation.  He makes the hard decision when required.

Najib inherited a Malaysia that needed change. To all intents and purposes it would seem that Najib is the change. In his time as Prime Minister he has moved consistently in the direction of change with due regard for the need of all Malaysians of different races, and religion – sometimes having to cajole, persuade to make us move forward in this direction with him leading us.

He is not always successful. Not always right but he is prepared to confront his own cabinet, his own party, his coalition partners within Barisan Nasional and all that stands in the way of good governance.

Najib’s government is carrying out a transformation with his 1Malaysia initiative of people first, performance now. The use of Key Performances Indicators (KPI's) is a fundamental measurement of the performance of Najib’s  Government. That Najib is prepared to hold the performance of himself and his government to this scrutiny confirms his commitment to good governance and his own confidence on delivering on what he promised.

These are not ideas on paper. These are real policies being implemented in real situation with all the attendant difficulties of overcoming dissent from people who have gotten used to the ways of the good old days when accountability and taking responsibility for one’s action was not the done thing. Despite these difficulties Najib knows that these are policies that must be implemented because these are policies whose time has come if Malaysia is to move forward with the rest of the world. Najib has the convictions of his beliefs. If what he does is contradictory to the wishes of some from within his cabinet and party then so be it. Najib looks at the bigger picture – national interests over politics, the people’s well being over party’s interest and the goodwill of the people over racial considerations.

DSAI in contrast is embroiled in a number of issues on different fronts – all a mirror of the way he chooses to do things. On a personal level he is facing trial again for sodomy. He is confronted by a personal assistant who accuses him of committing buggery upon him. The facts that have emerged so far from the trial augers ill for DSAI ability to defend himself of the charges. This time around there are no mattresses being paraded around. There are only cold clinical facts that will be hard to disapprove when presented as evidence. But the case is ongoing. Let the court decide.

The recent PKR party election is, by all accounts, a damming endorsement of how elections should not be conducted! A 10% turn out? Voting irregularities? The withdrawal of a deputy president candidate and eventually his resignation from the party? Fights, physical intimidations by thugs and goons ala MIC in the times of Samy Velu? By any index the PKR election was an abject failure. Even the one person one vote touted loudly as the cornerstone of PKR’s free and fair election was laughable when compared to the 10 percent turnout  - a damming indictment of what its members thought of the election as a whole. PKR simply could not deliver the clean and fair elections they promised. Or to be more exact they would not deliver that free and fair election promised because to do so would have compromised their existing power base within PKR.

In Selangor Khalid is the embattled MB holding on to power despite the increasingly strident calls from the leaders within PKR for his resignation. Khalid is not going to meekly submit to the demands of his own PKR members who are clamouring for their share of the spoils of wars after PKR victory in Selangor. Never mind the people of Selangor. Never mind that Khalid considers himself as MB for all the people in Selangor! The old mentality of party before anything else is now being fought out in Selangor. If Khalid will not dance to their tune then PKR wants him out. Khalid is fighting for his political survival and it would seems that he is close to throwing in the towel….but Khalid has enough financial resource within himself to do what he thinks is right for the people of Selangor even at the expense of losing support within PKR. Financial independence allows Khalid that privilege.

And what does DSAI does about this? He jumps right in and appoints himself Selangor Economic Advisor as a stop gap measure while forces within PKR tries to regroup in Selangor – i.e until the forces against Khalid are strong enough to dismiss him as MB.

DSAI way of dealing with problems within PKR and PR is to involve himself on a personal level when what is needed is to allow for these problems to work themselves out through the process that is already in place. He finds himself defending sodomy charges. He is the Economic Advisor to Selangor, head of PKR, self-appointed spokesman for Malaysia’s perceived failings whenever the world press is in front of him. He is spreading himself too thinly and if that is not enough, he is also head of the opposition…and yet he was recently suspended from parliament for six months! How does he intend to fight the opposition battle in Parliament if he is not physically there?

If this is all a conspiracy by Najib’s government to isolate DSAI from doing his job as opposition leader then should not DSAI be more guarded in what he does and make sure that he does not give Najib an opportunity suspend him from Parliament?

Like Saiful – there would be no case to answer if DSAI did not put himself in harms way. From his past experience he should know that there was a clear and present danger the moment he puts himself in any compromising position with a man or a women – do not do it then!

The electronic media is increasingly critical of what DSAI has been doing. Najib is no longer the favourite whipping boy of the bloggers – it is now DSAI. Again he has opened another front to do his battle on – a front that will hurt him in his battle for outreach to the Malaysian public. DSAI has no access to the TV, the newspaper in Malaysia. He only has the electronic media and the foreign press. On the international level Najib has already made his move and been successful in making world leaders understand what he is trying to do for Malaysia and what harm DSAI is doing to the country by his rantings to the world press. Let it be said that world leader are sympathetic to Najib’s plea for understanding as they too have been subject to the same treatment at home.

Without the support of the electronic media in Malaysia and the bloggers how does DSAI expect to reach out to the Rakyat?

All this ills of DSAI are self-inflicted. He needs to take responsibility for what his words would do to himself and more critically, to Pakatan Rakyat. The Rakyat are now too familiar with his threats to expose wrong doings within UMNO and the Barisan Nasional Government. These threats are now like water off a duck’s back in as far as Barisn Nasional is concern. For the Rakyat there are still hopeful that DSAI will come through with enough hard evidence to back what he says. The latest threat of coming out with proof linking APCO Worldwide and the 1Malaysia concept to Israel’s is a case in point.  Is this another “I will take over the government on September 16th 2008” situation? It generated a lot of interest from the Rakyat if not the world but in the end it died a natural death…nothing came out of nothing!

Where we will end after the 13th general election will be a product of what DSAI and Pakatan Rakyat will do NOW! In the euphoria of the 2008 election we might be able to overlook DSAI misplaced attempt at grand standing by recklessly announcing what he could not do – take over from Barisan Nasional then. In the cold cold morning light of the dawn before the 13th general election DSAI and what he represents must go down to ground level and look at what Najib has done and is doing to make up for their unprecedented “defeat” in the aftermath of the 13th general election. I think Najib might have done just enough and holds the high ground…but that general election is still Pakatan Rakyat’s to loose. Will DSAI and Pakatan Rakyat understand this and start the process of consolidating their strength and minimizing their weaknesses and prepare themselves either for Armageddon or Victory? Methinks it is too close to call either way……..

And they are Off!

I am amused at the interest (me included!) we are giving to the possibility and probability of the general election being called in the first, second, third or fourth quarter of 2011. Ajis told me that his besan in Pekan, who is the twice removed cousin to Najib’s has informed him that his wedding cannot be in the first quarter or 2011 if he wants Najib to be the guest of honor at he Kenduri! Lim our favorite Karoke buddy has been told by DAP Party Headquarters that all leave should be left undisturbed until May 2011 because it will be needed then for all party stalwarts to come in to do their duty for Party and country during the general elections. Danny has been asked to start working on the Indian community around his Kampong Kassipilay in preparation of a do or die campaign for Barisan Nasional survival. There you have it – all confirmation that the 13th General Election will be in the first, second, third or fourth quarter of 2011!

The UMNO Ketua Cawangan and Ketua Bahagians are already counting their chicken before they are hatched. For the Ketua Cawangans all his ahli jawatankuasa have already put in the budget required to achieved their goal of attaining all the Malay votes within their kawasan. Sewa bus, kenduri expenses, duit rokok…all are included, nothing excluded. Those at Bahagian level have already got their peruntukan ready for distribution down the line as and when needed. At State levels fortunes are made by the “berani mati” first liners who will “serbu” the opposition camps with all manner of “weapons” at their disposal. Kill or be kill.

Above ground zero those in KL and safely bunkered down in their offices at PWTC plots their own path to fame and fortune. If I were a fly on the wall in any of these offices would not my ears run hot and bothered on the goings on within the walls of PWTC!

But these are what Politicians are born to do. They live their life for these moments ad this is the big one – the 13th General Election. All roads in Malaysia will lead towards PWTC if these UMNO politicians are to be believed. Every single project to be given, every single contract and tender to be awarded, every negotiated tender, every business opportunity to be got from the government must now, somehow, be discussed within the walls of this PWTC – the higher the value, the higher the level within PWTC that it has to reach for a decision to be made. You can feel the buzz and the excitement of people milling around these corridors of power. Greed, avarice and power permeates the whole building. Welcome to UMNO incorporated and what it symbolizes – decadence, deceit and the use of high public office for high financial gain.

So how goes Pakatyan Rakyat? Will it go where UMNO is now? There are already rumblings in Selangor. Will this be the last election for Khalid? Will he continue to allow himself to be belittled by his own PKR comrades? He already has DSAI as his Economic Advisor and it seems that Khalid himself requested that Azmin Ali take over from him as the head of PKR Selangor. At times  stranger tales are told within PR then in UMNO ………..sometimes. What other humilation will he endure just to remain as Menteri Besar? Is it worth it Tan Sri?

Penang is business as usual. The Chinese are good at that – business as usual no matter what. Nobody can say that Guan Eng is against the Malays – the Malay contractors are getting the bulk of the contracts. There is transparency there in everything that the State Government does…steady as she goes.

So my friends let us settle down for the deluge that is to come. For some election time is durian runtuh time. For some the deluge will wash away their dreams and hopes of clean and fair elections as once again money politics rear its ugly head over willing takers. We will all be affected by this election–good or bad is a matter of where you stand. When it is all over for most of us, we can only wished that hindsight have been with us then and not now because with hindsight we could have save ourselves all the pain and heartaches of backing politicians who are not victorious and political parties that are. Either way we the Rakyat will lose as things meander again back to normalcy once the 13th general election hype is over. Nothing changes.

..still relevant today.

Principled Politics.

Why is it that I, as a Malay, show much disrespect to Najib? Why are there so many Hang Jebats as oppose to Hang Tuahs in this time of ours – ready to do verbal battle with our leaders? Menderhaka they say. Sometimes after I have written my piece I read them and I am appalled at the venom of what I write. While we are Hang Jebats we do what we do because of what Hang Tuah had said  “Takkan Melayu Hilang di Dunia”. If we do not care for our survival as a viable partner to the other races in our country then who will?
We want to tell the Malays and the people of our country that there is an alternative to the excesses of the past fifty years when UMNO were in power and got totally carried away. You not only systematically steal from our national treasuries but also take from other Malays what as taken years to acquire. How else do you explain the use of the EPF and Petronas funds to bail out your failures?
If you ask how can DAP, Keadilan and PAS work together towards a common goal when their fundamental beliefs are so divisive? I say this….how about principled politics?
Politics with ethical and moral sense. A sense of what is right and what is wrong. It is wrong to govern our country as you do now. Money Politics, Corruption, Nepotism, no accountability, no taking of responsibility, putting away of your own citizens for their political beliefs, you every day deeds and actions totally focused on self preservation. It is right for Pakatan Rakyat to want transparency and accountability in the system of Government. Politics without principal as you now practice is without a soul. Empty and void of any decency and righteousness.
Our Nation’s hope for tomorrow lies with the young. One of them, Teoh Beng Hock is no longer with us. It lies with the young within our midst who believes that it is imperative to insist on principled politics if we are to survive as a Nation.
It also lies with the young who even now have no qualms about accepting bribes if they have the power and the opportunity. It also lies with the young who are with Pemuda UMNO - the same Pemuda UMNO headed by KJ – of whom many have said of his victory as Ketua Pemuda “KJ menang. UMNO kalah”.
It lies with Nurrul Izzah Anwar – the same Nurul who won over Sharizat despite Shrizat being a Wanita UMNO who can work and contribute positively to the Nation.
So our Nation hopes lies with the young but while some of them will lead there are many that needs to be led. Our work to make them ready must begin now.
Our Nation hope for tomorrow lies with you and me. It lies with Anwar Ibrahim. With Tok Guru. With Karpal Singh and with Lim Kit Siang. It lies with Zacharia, Shahzlina, M Nasir, Misha Omar. Jacyln Victor with Nicol David, with Lee Chong Wei, with Quzier Ambak, with Shalin Zulkifli. It lies with everybody.  It lies with all of us – and unfortunately it also lies with Najib Razak, Mahyiddin, JJ and all those people who are now with UMNO who have a preoccupation of looting the country’s resources without fear of God.
Why should thieving Politicians and Government Servants be treated different from other criminals? We have had snatch thieves caught and killed by community vigilantes. Pickpockets have been punished in the most gruesome manner when caught by the public, suspects are killed in shootouts with Police. These Politicians are allowed to go free with their grand theft  -  is there one law for the poor and another for the politicians? The stench continues to grow.
PKFZ. What UMNO can do MCA can do better? Go try and figure that out.
MIC. Maika. The Telekom Shares Debacle. Simply put in language that every one can understand. Ten Million Telekoms share were offered to MIC at $5 a share. Maika acquired only one million shares the rest were for the account of those identified by Samy Velu. When Telekoms shares were first traded it fetched RM6.15 per share. By mid 1992 the Telecom shares were worth RM11 to RM13. Had MIC been given the additional Nine million shares already on offer it would have realized a profit of RM120 million by just hanging on to those share. After 17 months of investigation the Anti Corruption Agency cleared Samy Velu of any wrong doing. Do we expect anything less?
Samy Velu was the largest individual shareholder with 2.8 million shares. The rich man that he is and he still needs to have some more by stealing from the poor of his own race? Go figure that out!
This is the same Samy Velu who last week tells MIC “"There is no point in going against the government just to release their emotions. Many of our requests have been met !!”
Mahathir blames this same Samy Velu for the ills of the Indians. Was not this same Samy Velu in your cabinet Mahathir? So do not lecture us on probity!! HAH !!
We have much work to do. We begin now.

Unfit to be Prime Minister....of any country!

When I look at Najib, Muhyiddin, Mahathir, Ibrahim Ali - all those bombastic self-proclaimed Ketuanan Malay “leaders,” I do not think of Hang Tuah! Huh! All they remind me of are Field Marshall Idi Amin Dada, Mobutu Sese Seko, Robert Mugabe and His Excellency Benito Mussolini Head of Government, Duce of Fascism, and Founder of the Empire. Yes at one time or another they were all leaders of their people, all striding to the sound of brass bands and traveling around in motorcades flanked by armed guards. Leaders they might be but they were all totally oblivious to the look of contempt and disgust from the very masses that they consider themselves to be Lord and Master over. Totally oblivious of the massive harm they have done to the country they ruled. Totally oblivious to the crumbling ruins of their government because all they see are the trappings of power and their personal needs. Never the misery of the people they rule.

I want you all to understand this. When in power these kinds of leaders will do what they want. They would not investigate themselves. MACC, the AG, the Judiciary and PDRM (among other Government entities) are there to ensure that these leaders are given the means and leeway to do what they want. And what they want is to stay in power and make money for themselves and their cronies.
And who are the people who have been in charge in Malaysia? For 22 years of the last 30 years it has been this man call Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad. The fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia whose political career has lasted 40 years and still counting.

Just as Singapore has been shaped by one iconic man Lee Kuan Yew, Malaysia too has been shaped by one man, Mahathir……and therein lays a tale. Singapore is one of the world’s most prosperous countries with strong international trading links with per capita GDP equal to that of the leading nations of Western Europe. Malaysia has the most prosperous politicians and strong family links with these politicians will ensure that your personal capita GDP will be equal, if not better than that of many African Politicians with similar inclinations to rob their own country blind. Transparency International Corruption Perception Index of the past 16 years puts Malaysia as the worst country in Asia-Pacific. Malaysia is the 7th most corrupt nation in Asia. Corruption is common among the country's political and business class. Bribery and other corrupt practices pose major problems for companies operating in Malaysia. The business of government is equally corrupt. So while Singapore has taken the high road, Mahathir has taken the low road and he has, unfortunately, taken us along for the ride.

Now we have Najib Tun Razak. This man is unfit to be our leader. Unfit to be the Prime Minister of our country. He would have a hard time holding on to a position as Manager of any decent size organization where decency, honesty and integrity are required of its employees – as it should be of any individual holding a position of responsibility.

But in UMNO he thrives! He is their President! He can fool UMNO, he can fool the Attorney General of Malaysia, he can fool the IGP, he can fool the Cabinet (though one can argue that the closing of one eye and the shutting of the other has the same effect!) – but try as hard as he can, he will not fool us and of course he cannot fool his wife. After all it takes a thief to catch another thief…birds of a feather flocks together…get my drift?

Why is Najib unfit to be our Prime Minister? Let me count the ways…..

Hands down the tragic murder of Altantuya tops the list. Don’t ask me about it because I am bias. Go ask that Indian kachang putih seller, the Pak Chik selling satay by the roadside or that Chinese guy selling Yong Tau Foo at the market in Lucky Gardens each morning. Ask them about Najib and Altantuya. This is what they say:

NAJIB IS GUILTY UNTIL AN INDEPENDENT JUDICIARY CLEARS HIM.

No need to swear in the mosque, no need to discredit Bala’s SD, no need to say that the murderers have already been caught, gone to trial and have been sentenced. The damming thing is this Najib – YOU know that WE know that YOU are involved somehow and somewhere in that sordid saga of the RM$500 million submarine commission for Razak Baginda and in the murder of Altantuya. Whether the facts are made known during your time, your children time or your children children’s time is to be seen. The truth shall prevail but you will not.
Under your watch MACC murdered Teoh Beng Hock while he was under their custody. PDRM bludgeon Kugan to death and shot Aminurasyid to death! All the king’s horses and all the king’s men could not put Humpty Dumpty together again. You Najib did not even try! A political police force? Is that what PDRM has become? Huh! If today PDRM has become a tool for the survival of UMNO and BN then be assured that after the 13th General Election the people will claim back PDRM and not leave it to be the force of evil that PDRM has now become but cleanse it to become once again a Force for good.

This is also the same Najib that made an offer of RM$5 Million to the people of Rejang Park during By-Election time to elect BN's Robert Lau. Truly a courageous (in politician lingo that means stupid!) and remarkable (in our lingo this also means stupid!) attempt by our Prime Minister to BUY a by-election. An enlightened electorate rejected his offer.

During Najib’s stint as Minister of Defense the procurement of arms and equipment became an ‘art form’ that impacted favorably on the financial well being of his and UMNO's cronies.

Eurocopter.
Ministry of Defense signed a Letter of Intent to acquire 12 Eurocopter EC725 Cougar helicopters for the sum of RM2.3 billion. Brazil paid only RM$1.2 billion for 50 units of the same mode.

Sukhoi Fighters. 18 Sukhoi Fighter Jets were bought for RM3.2 billion. A 12 percent commission of RM380 million was paid to its local agent IMT Defence Sdn Bhd whose Chairman was Adib Adam, former Chief Minister of Malacca. The same Malacca that once had an UMNO child molester as its Chief Minister.

Naval Patrol Boat. Ministry of Defense paid out RM4.26 billion to PSC-Naval Dockyard for only RM2.87 billion of work done. The Malaysian cabinet waived late penalties of RM214 million. 14 progressive payments amounting to RM943 million was paid out to PSC-Naval Dockyard without payment vouchers or relevant documents dealing with the payments. The technical incompetence of PSC-Naval Dockyard to undertake the contract can be confirmed by the fact that PSC had never built anything but trawlers and Police boats before being given the contract by Najib.

Missing Jet Engines Two fighter aircraft engines from the Royal Malaysian Air Force went missing in May 2008. Enough said.

Any individual that is involved in any one of the above truly shameful straight out grab for the Rakyat's money would not be considered for employment at any reputable business entity. In Malaysia he becomes our Prime Minister! Camna ni? Does that not make him an unfit person to be Prime Minister of our country? I rest my case.

FMZam said...

What have become of UMNO/BN ministers is that they all have turned their physique into that of big fat pigs every time when they bloat in their silk batiks or droop in their long-bottom suits. Really, they are what BN stands for - BABI NEGARA (literally National Pigs), they feed on people's money through squander and plunder to grow fat without guilt and fear of worldly reprisal let alone god's reprisal. Nothing they are afraid of more than losing the power that has made them the all POWERFUL PIGS on this earth. They had not even been least comfortable with a little power outage once that they recouped it back with the bloody May 13 to reinstall their absolute power. They had never been easy with PAS but PAS alone was never a match to their powerful snorts. But Anwar Ibrahim, without him, PKR to UMNO is just a scrambled egg. With Anwar at the helm of Pakatan Rakyat, he is that leader of the PIG HUNTERS! As long as there is Anwar to lead the pack, DAP will like it because DAP eats pigs but doesn’t have the hunting skills and PAS will love it because PAS hates pigs but doesn’t have the hunting weapons. Anwar is truly a godsend as said Nik Aziz, there will never be another godsend to punish UMNO in near future and it will take a very long time for DAP and PAS to nurture a natural born hunter like Anwar. The pigs must kill Anwar at all costs and along with all his kin to guarantee a safe passage to their reign of power for many of their generations.

I, the people of the power, must write it properly for the next election, so that my words must be spelt precisely and be read accurately and executed affirmatively on Anwar, that the correct punctuation mark of the least separation indicated between parts of my sentence will read as KILL HIM NOT, LET HIM LIVE.

Tuesday, 21 December 2010

I received a comment from Sang Kancil Guru critical of what I write about Anwar in my piece "ANWAR IBRAHIM what else...." He started with "Disagree with your assessment that Zaid is a musuh. Rather, that Anwar, like a typical UMNO politician that he is, seeks to destroy any potential threats and enemies he has, and only keeps with him those who are absolutely loyal to him".

This Sang Kancil Guru ended with  "I dare you to publish this comment if you are for free speech. Or are you also a hypocrite like Anwar too? I would not be surprised".

Here is the story Guru. If you are brave enough to identify yourself  - then I will publish your comment in full. Your full name and email would do. Camna?

Anwar Ibrahim...What Else?

Wikileaks. Entrapment. Lee Kuan Yew. Australian and Singapore intelligence Agencies. Office of National Assessments. Pundits predict clear BN win. Jeffrey to quit PKR. Parliamentary panel wants six-month suspension for Anwar……ecetera, ecetera, ecetera…..

All things and everything is being rolled out to give credibility to this Najib/UMNO driven train hurtling towards Anwar. Najib already has Anwar  blind folded, feet shackled, hands tied behind his back and placed at the end of the railway line in front of a 10 ft thick granite wall waiting to be crushed to smithereens.

Like everything that Najib does he is only brave enough to move when he thinks that everything is in place. All the i’s have been dotted and the t’s crossed….so he thinks! He forgets Mahyuddin and Mahathir lurking in the shadows. He forgets that many in UMNO wants him to parade himself in front of everyone but none will tell him that he  has no clothes on. Nobody tells him what would happen after the train hits the wall. The train cannot stop…the train does not have the option of reducing speed by steering itself into an uphill direction as a runaway truck without brakes can… …..but Anwar, if he moves nimbly,  still has time to free himself and walk away. Najib cannot!

For Najib becoming Prime Minister gained him temporary immunity from the Altantuya juggernaut that was bearing down upon him. Taking Anwar out of the 13th GE will extend that immunity, confirm the death sentence on Altantuya’s two proxy “murderers” and set Najib free and make him again Prime Minister of Malaysia and Rosmah as First Lady…so he thinks!

The 13th General Election will certainly be upon us soon. It is as certain as having Khir Toyo acquitted of corruption charges for lack of evidence, as sure as Liong Sik being allowed to hold on to his massive wealth, and as sure as Ibrahim Ali being used as a mule to carry UMNO come election time.

Has anything changed with Anwar after Saiful? The manner in which PKR party elections were conducted…maybe. But where in politics does it say that a politician has a duty of care to help his political opponents win? What did Mahathir do to neutralize Musa and Razaleigh? What did Mahathir do to rid UMNO of Abdullah? UMNO brought back a corrupt Isa Samad because they needed a corrupt Isa Samad to win in Bagan Pinang….ecetera ecetera ecetera… what happened during PKR’s recent party election was that it rid itself of a very unpleasant threat – Zaid. For we now know that Zaid was indeed a musuh di bawah selimut. Good riddance.

The intrigues and back stabbing within MCA has presented the party with a President who was previously sacked in 2009 for damaging the party’s image with his sex scandal. Only in MCA….only in MCA! Samy Velu use of caste and money to advance his case in MIC has given him many merry years as President to take for himself what is rightfully for the Indians. And only in Malaysia can a corrupt ex Minister retire and enjoy his loot from his time in government in peace. I will not go into Sarawak and Sabah…too much time needed for things that are already well documented. In all this, within Barisan Nasional, deception and lies are rewarded with power and wealth. Massive wealth.

So my friends read what you want. Listen to all that is being said. In the quiet of the evening do as I do….sit and think. If you have good friends sit with them in quiet contemplation.Take yourself back to that day when balaclava clad thugs from PDRM went to get Anwar from his house in Damasara. Take yourself back to that time when we see Anwar striding into court with his black eye but still defiant and unbowed.

Take yourself back to the early days of Reformasi when all this started. All this that have led to Barisan Nasional losing their two-thirds majority in Parliament. Renew your sense of outrage at a BN government and a Mahathir that has gone mad hell bent in going after Anwar again because only Anwar constitute a threat to their existence. Get back the anger that you had when you saw PDRM bludging so many defenseless Malaysian with their truncheons and kicking them with their leather boots. And remember the many instances of nepotism, corruption and abuse of power that has become endemic in an UMNO that has failed the Malays.

Then bring yourself back to the present and ask yourself what has changed?

For UMNO and BN my friends nothing has changed. They are still arrogant. Corruption and nepotism is still rife. Like in the days of old Mahathir still rules but this time he pulls the strings from behind the curtains. Najib talks about KPI, about Greater KL, about that Tower, F1….anything and everything that will allow them to have great wealth at the people expense. Our money… their gain!

And Anwar? What of Anwar? Remember sodomy one…well there is now sodomy two! Remember Reformasi…..well we now have Pakatan Rakyat with representatives in the Dewan Negara and the Dewan Rakyat. Remember Permatang Pauh, Selayang, Puchong, Kepong, Kota Melaka……well we now have Kedah, Kelantan, Penang and Selangor. Where we go from here is for us to decide. Not Anwar not Najib.

With the Internet we know in real time what is happening in our country. We know in real time when MACC murders Teoh Beng Hock and PDRM bludgeon Kugan to death. We know in real time what the powers that be did at the GH mortuary to stop Kugan’s family from seeing the state of his mutilated corpse. We know in real time every time PDRM kills another suspect in their custody or gun down suspects that they are chasing in what they routinely tells us is “self-defence”. Imagine four adult Policemen with automatic weapons against two teenagers with a parang! And 14 year old Aminulrasyid Hamzah was shot to death….“seorang yang disyaki penyamun ditembak polis awal pagi di Seksyen 11 Shah Alam….sebilah parang dijumpai di dalam kereta disyaki digunakan sebagai senjata untuk menyamun….suspek kedua berjaya melepaskan diri..”

We know in real time what PI Bala said Najib did with Altantuya. We know in real time the massive rorts in Mindef. There is no escaping the truth. No escaping if you have done wrong. No forgiveness for lies told. Tiada Maaf bagi mu… You can run but eventually you cannot hide…that goes for every Politician in the country!

Yes we have the Internet but Najib and BN has everything else. Media, Newspaper, Television and a limitless amount of resources – both financial and technical, to put their lies and concocted stories to us. That is what they are trying to do now. Everyday in their Papers, their Television and through every imaginable way they can – their purpose is to kill off Anwar. Najib thinks that when Anwar is gone he will kill Pakatan Rakyat.. Kill Pakatan Rakyat  and he will kill the hopes of the people for a decent future for ourselves and our children. We cannot allow him to do this.

Remind yourself that our fight is to rid us of UMNO/BN. This UMNO within our country that kills the very thing that gives life and sustenance to it. UMNO/BN is a parasite that lives off us all. Our struggle to take back our own country from the clutches of a corrupt BN…these parasites! Our fight is against everyone and anyone that stands in our way of doing this.

How skillfully Najib/UMNO/BN has used the resources at their beck and call in their attempt to isolate Anwar. Think my friend…

·      Sodomy against Murder?
·      Saiful against Altantuya?
·      Saiful against RM$500 million of the people’s money given to Razak Baginda?
·      Saiful against PKFZ.
·      Saiful against Teoh Beng Hock, Kugan and Aminurashid?
·      Saiful against RM$70 million paid to APCO?
·      Saiful against a Political Police Force call PDRM?

Ecetera! Ecetera! Ecetera!

That is all they have on Anwar. Saiful….and that too still to be proven in court. But see how well they craft their battle? Money and power misused, allows Najib to do this in the present political climate under the Barisan Nasional.

As I have said before…we cannot allow this to happen! It insults our intelligence. It will gives free license to UMNO to continue to plunder and pillage our country’s wealth…or what is left of it…..an UMNO that has consistently and without fail unashamedly use race, religion and money to further their vested interest.

And so my friends go read what is written. Go  listen what is being said….but always hold on to your right to make your own decisions in the quiet of your thoughts. Remember….You are one…With me we are two. Together we can make a difference. Together we will have Pakatan Rakyat become the Government come the 13th GE. God willing….God willing.....
