What else for Najib?

Just when Najib thinks that things cannot get any worse than they are he gets side swiped from all sides. Head on comes that pesky unrelenting ghost of Altantuya whose soul cannot and will not rest until all that is to be known about Razak Baginda, about Najib and her are known to one and all. As the crow flies Paris might be 10415.06 kilometers away from Kuala Lumpur but as far as Najib is concern Paris  will be there at his breakfast table this morning as he eats his nasi lemak. Not only will the Samabal Tumis make him sweat but the news coming from France will not help.

Then comes that USD$20 milllion ring story again. This time it is no longer the Customs testing his resolve to go head to head with them over Sarbaini…but worse…it is that “berani mati” Nazri from within his own cabinet. And knowing Nazri there must be the “udang sebalik batu” thing…and so the onslaught from Muhyiddin begins.

Bersih lingers over his head like a sword waiting to descend on cue.

What else asks Najib? What else to come? Najib must be having an out of body experience. He has a helicopter view of everything. He knows that Altantuya will eventually be his Nemesis – if not in France then somehow the two convicted UTK felons and Razak Baginda will eventually spill the beans to save their own skin. There are simply too many holes to cover, too many people to kautim and the Judiciary of Malaysia and France to be addressed. The Malaysia Judiciary is his while he is PM but France will never be his at any moment in time. And so he waits for the sword to fall.

Rosmah before her “FIRST LADY” days was already a bitch – arrogant, vile, scheming and vindictive. Now as “FIRST LADY” she is impossible. This is a woman in the worse tradition of Disney’s “wicked step mother”. Society did not make her that way…she just got better at it as she grew older…much older! This “US$20 million RING “ episode will be to Najib what “Watergate” was to Nixon…and of course now he has the Custom and UMNO itself unraveling the sordid details of a “FIRST LADY” that could even consider buying such a monstrosity!

While all this is happening around him in slow motion Najib starts the process of reinventing himself…and it amuses me to think that the first concept that was thrown to us was that “COOL” image! Najib being “COOL?” George Clooney is cool. Brad Pitt is cool…..Najib is Prime Minister of Malaysia and there really is no need for our Prime Minister to be cool. Attending pop concerts and wearing sneakers does not make you a George Clooney clone. No way hosey!

Najib’s world is closing down on him. He is increasingly being isolated because of the things he does. Not only the things he does since becoming Prime Minister but way before then – in those days when he was Mentri Besar of Pahang and Minister of Defense – especially his lucrative days as Minister of Defense. He thought that becoming Prime Minister will give him time and opportunity to cover his sordid past…it might have if Altantuya was not murdered. It might have if he took on DSAI man to man. It might have if he took MACC and PDRM to task for their failure in their duty of care to those in their custody. And it might have if he did what he promised us to do – 1Malaysia and an open and responsible government – but as is always the case, when one is in power, one thinks oneself invincible and far away from the possibility of being held accountable for past and present misdeeds.

Let Najib be a lesson to all of us. If you do good only good will come out of it. Do not abuse the trust the people place in you for like karma, there will come a time when you or your children will have to answer for what you have done. This you will understand when you have time to reflect.

For now Najib will only understand those that comes to him with plans for his victory in the 13^th general election. He will only listen to those that seek to destroy his enemies in the opposition. And all that matters to him is what he will have to do to remain President of UMNO and Prime Minister of Malaysia.

But I tell you this Najib….you know as well as I do that the writings is on the wall and it says “NAJIB YOUR TIME IS OVER”…the knives are being sharpened in UMNO by those that seek to install a new President for UMNO. Deals are being brokered to have your darkest secrets and that of your wife exposed for all to see. Your friends in UMNO and BN will soon become your enemies. And very soon you will know how Pak Lah felt in his last hours as Prime Minister….alone and betrayed.

And then UMNO will have a new President and we the people of Malaysia will have Pakatan Rakyat as our government of choice!
