THANK YOU

This will be my last posting for 2013............I want to spend the rest of the day with my wife. To all of you who read what I write, to all of you who are my friends, my classmates and schoolmates....I wish you all the things you would all want to wish for yourselves....and until next year thank you so very much for reading what I write....me and my wife walking into the sunset.... Be happy!

The problems we now have in Malaysia - corruption, cronyism, money politics and the resulting problems with our economy and lack of accountability and credibility of those who are our leaders - cannot be solved by the people who created them!

We Asians have always had Imperial Leaders who think themselves to be…what else but Imperial Leaders! We have them in China, in India and Malaysia is no exception….Mahathir, Najib and his wife, Lim Kit Siang and son, Anwar Ibrahim and a few others are our burden to bear. When vested with political power they will have their way with us but political power is fleeting. The memory of the people is not!
In Thailand the 2007 Constitution of Thailand states : "The King shall be enthroned in a position of revered worship and shall not be violated. No person shall expose the King to any sort of accusation or action." and "Whoever defames, insults or threatens the King, Queen, the Heir-apparent or the Regent, shall be punished with imprisonment of three to fifteen years." Thank God for Thailand that they have a King who understands his duty to his people. However Thailand’s political leaders are not so inclined and their imperial antics have caused much pain and suffering for the people of Thailand over the years – King or no King!

In China political leaders are Kings in every manner but name – but by and large they are responsible rulers. Do they not send those guilty of corruption to the firing squad?

India is still in flux but they have already done away with Royalty. Political leaders still rule as despots but checks and balances are in place to ensure that change through the electoral system is possible.

Not so in Malaysia.

The 13th general election tells us that change through the will of the people is not yet possible. The 13th general election tells us that money politics, corruption, race, religion, complicity by the Election Commission and powerful UMNO politicians who have no qualms about using these ‘weapons’ to stay in power will still have their way with us.  It renders the ‘one man/women one vote’ principle obsolete. We the people demand that the principle of  ‘one man/women one vote’ will be the criteria by which any party is to be elected into government in our democracy.

At 66 I am still with memory of the times when the Sultans had people around them whose lives revolve around royalty and the Istana 24/7. Today there are people whose lives revolve around politics and UMNO 24/7. They live with politics, by politics and through politics  - they live and die by politics. It is because of these people that UMNO leaders of today feel themselves Imperial.

But the times are a changing. To me the Sultans, UMNO leaders and anyone else in government or the opposition are my equal and as my equal I judge them as I would others judge me. They can propose but the people will decide for themselves what they will impose and dispose of.

Look at Anwar Ibrahim.

Despite his fall from grace from within UMNO the people brought him back to a position where he can now challenge UMNO and be a threat to the future political dominance of UMNO in Malaysian politics – but Anwar Ibrahim better not forget his place in the scheme of things that the people aspire to. Their support of Anwar Ibrahin is not unconditional. That support will no longer be given should he again become the Imperial ogre he once was whilst in UMNO.

The people are the ultimate judge and only then will come history. No one, not you not me, not Mandela will escape the judgement of their own people. If you think you are different than you are a bloody fool. Today there are enough bloody fools littering history…….Ceausescu, Idi Amin, Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein…so many of them. Think yourself different at your own peril.

The problems we now have in Malaysia  - corruption, cronyism, money politics and the resulting problems with our economy and lack of accountability and credibility of those who are our leaders  - cannot be solved by the people who created them!

Would Hitler be asked to get Germany out of World War II? Would Marcos be recalled from exile to head another government to rescue Philippines from the situation that he himself had put his country in? The same reason the people of Thailand no longer wants Thaksin to return to Thailand.

UMNO and the government they lead are responsible for the state of our nation today and they cannot be relied upon to solve them so all those of you who have nothing good to say about UMNO, come sit by my side and let us together plot UMNO's demise!

Najib the current leader of UMNO has no qualities of leadership that would enable him to be a leader of any note….but then Najib should not feel too bad. A lot of people in UMNO and BN also have no talent to lead. On Najib’s head rests the work of many men. And Najib has taken it upon himself to do the work of many men….I even know their names….Laurel & Hardy, Abbot & Costello, Moe, Larry and Curly!

Perhaps the purpose God had in making Najib our Prime Minister is to let it be known to all Malaysians to never again choose a leader like him to be PM. The only thing Najib brought to his job is Rosmah and Hermes handbags – and we all know how irritating a combination that can be.

Rosmah can claim that she has made Najib into what he is today…. that is good….. at least she is personally taking the blame for Najib being who he is today. If idiots could fly Seri Perdana will be designated an airport!

Let us look at who Najib has in his cabinet! If Members of his Cabinet are his peers Najib must have a pretty low opinion of himself! Look at whom he chooses to be in his cabinet…Hishamuddin, Zahid Hamidi, Shahidan Kassim, Nazri Aziz, P Waythamoorthy, Shafie Apdal, Tengku Adnan,  KJ….…for sure they are his peers ! All of them already tainted by sexual indiscretions, money politics, corruption and political excesses! And everyone of them wanting to be Prime Minister...like Najib!

If Najib insists that everything is under control than I suggest he look again to where he is heading…and wherever he is heading I can assure him, is not the right way.

Not all of UMNO leaders are stupid but all stupid leaders in government today are from UMNO. Let all these stupid leaders take note of the following.

·      If you do wrong you will be censured and if need be punished through the judiciary.

·      If you have money that you have honestly earned through your toil and sweat then do with the money as you please.

·      If you have been vested with the authority to make decisions on our behalf, then do so responsibly. If you do not then you will be call upon to explain why you did not do so.

·      If you err in your responsibilities we will no longer do as you bid us do and in time we will remove you from office.

These are now the rules by which our people live and you will also live by the same rules. Ignore them at you own peril.

Our leaders will be guided by the same morality and ethics we expect of our selves. Look around you – every leader of any nation that has abuse the trust the people put in them have been punished – sometimes sooner sometimes later…but all have been punished!

We see many things wrong with out nation today and what is wrong with this nation of ours we can see in Najib Tun Razak.

He is the eldest son of Tun Razak, our second Prime Minister. Tun Razak legacy was giving the poor rural Malays land and through FELDA, develop the land for them to  enable them to have a decent source of income. Najib dishonor the dream of his father by appointing a convicted corrupt UMNO politician as FELDA’s head. With the IPO of Felda Golden Ventures Holding (FGVH) Najib has again turned his Father’s dream into another cash cow for UMNO and their cronies. Whatever the financial and economic rationalization for such an IPO, UMNO and its cronies stand to gain immeasurably more than the rural Malays that his Father established FELDA for.

He is the young man who married at 26. Had three children, fooled around with somebody’s wife, divorced his first wife after eleven years of marriage, married that somebody’s wife and had another two children. We do not know how many times that divorce has been married or how many other children she had had with how many other partners!

He is the Muslim who has sullied the institution of marriage, have had affairs and sexual dalliances and indiscretion outside his marriage.

He is a husband who is an embarrassment to other husbands. We are all for equality between the spouses but we draw the line at husbands or wives who dominates in a marriage. In Najib household his wife wears the trousers.

He is Malay whom other Malays can learn much from. Malays must learn to honor the memory of their father and not abuse it, as Najib did, his father’s legacy to further his own sordid political careers. Malay must learn to honor their words and not be like Najib who promised much but deliver zilch. Malays must learn to be loyal to those who believe in them and not, like Najib, bite Pak Lah’s hand after Pak Lah have taken him to be his DPM.

He is a Malay who has betrayed his race by abusing the trust the Malays have put in him to help not the few Malays in UMNO and his cronies but all Malays.

He is a Politician who has put his self-interest before the common good of his people and even that of his own party.

He is the Prime Minister who abused the trust the people put in him by appointing the raba raba JJ to be this nations envoy to Washington. Does he not think the Americans know of what JJ has done? It brings shame to our people that our Prime Minister did not see it fit to appoint someone decent to that most senior post.

He was the DPM who was not loyal to Pak Lah.

He is the Prime Minister who has consistently not kept the promises he made to the people.

He has failed at so many levels that all he has left to fail will be to fail to go before he is ask to leave by those who are now plotting his demise.

He will be abroad for the New Year celebrations. Despite an earlier denial by a member of his Communication Advisory Group (CAG), the PM is indeed abroad.

steadyaku47 : I cannot do better than this - so read what AKJ writes in his blog about Najib. With thanks to AKJ.

Demonstrate, But Don't Be Like Siam

A Kadir Jasin

I AM not against people demonstrating. Even if I do, there’s little that I can do about it. Our Constitution guarantees peaceful assembly.

It is the fundamental constitutional rights of the people to gather in a peaceful assembly for legitimate purposes.

Therefore, I shall neither honour nor humour the people who are planning all kinds of demonstrations to bid farewell to 2013 and welcome the New Year 2014.

Even the term welcome is subject to interpretation. For many, with the prospects of higher living cost looming, the New Year is neither a happy nor a welcome one.

It is always difficult to maintain peace in a demonstration attended by a large group of people especially when the purpose is a strident one.

My two cents worth of unsolicited advice is, be calm and follow the rules. This applies to everybody – the demonstrators, the policemen and the City Hall enforcement officers.

The protestors will most certainly be young. So are the policemen. Even the IGP was young when the bloody Memali incident took place in 1985.

I remember that well because I attended a series of press conferences and briefings at the Home Minstry in the days that followed.

When it took place, the then PM, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was abroad and Tun Musa Hitam was made Acting PM. He was also Home Minister.

The Law of the Jungle in Siam
We have our share of demonstrations. But do ask: Do we want to be like Siam?

PM Not Here to Hear

WHILE the protestors, be they for or against the government, may be demanding this and that, they should know that the man who could make things happen, i.e the Prime Minister, Mohd Najib Abdul Razak, is not here to hear their demands firsthand.

He will be abroad for the New Year celebrations. Despite an earlier denial by a member of his Communication Advisory Group (CAG), the PM is indeed abroad.

A Kedai Kopi Assembly (KKA) regular said he left soon after Christmas celebrations in Penang and is not due back until Jan. 5.

Some readers and commentators may consider this article a gossip and “fitnah” (libel/slander) or even sacrilegious. But the following is the sequence of event to drive home my point.

1. In the posting entitled “Wanita Chief and the Grandmaster” on Dec. 11, a debater going by the name of Zainol, had, among other things, commented: “…Dia kata Najib akan pergi cuti di LA dengan Isteri…Mereka terbang dari LA ka Sydney nak tengok matahari naik di Sydney. Jam itu kita masih tidor di Malaysia. Lepas itu mereka akan terbang dari Sydney pergi ka Les vagas untok tengok kalimkedua matahari naik. sebab Amerika satu hari lambat dari Australia.”

2. I asked a member of the CAG via SMS if this is true. The response: “NO!!!..” which I duly posted in the comment section of the posting entitled “Suspending Newspapers May Not Be The Answer.”

3. I then made the following notation: “Jadi, kalau ikut penasihat CAG itu, berita/dakwaan PM akan bercuti di luar negara pada tahun baru tidak betul. Tetapi tahun baru masih 7 hari lagi.”

4. Today, on the advise of the CAG member (one who denied the PM was going abroad) I sent the following SMS to the PM’s Press Secretary, Tengku Sharifuddin Tengku Ahmad: “Salam Tengku. This is akj. I have published a denial that the PM and wife are going to sydney and las vegas on the new year’s eve. The source asked me to confirm with you. Tq.”

5. He replied “Dato.. PM is on leave and overseas.” (So the CAG member was wrong!)

6. Just to be absolutely sure and not be accused of gossiping, libelling and slandering, I sent another SMS to Tengku Sharifuddin: “Sorry, I assume he will not be around for the new year. Tq.”

7. His response: “Overseas on leave. Dpm will be around.”

(Good luck Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin. Tired or not our well being is in your hand for the next few days.)

8. Just to be super sure that I wasn’t missing anything, I asked two very senior newspaper editors, one of whom is also a member of the CAG, via SMS: “Sdr, akj here. Was there official announcement that the PM is on leave abroad? For my blog. Help appreciated. Tq.”

9. One responded: “No. I don’t think so. Don’t quote me plse.”

10. My response to him; “…May I say, a newspaper editor said no official media statement to that effect? Tq.”

11. He replied: “Ok.”

12. To be fair to all, I shot another SMS to Tengku Sharifuddin: “So the allegation that he might be in sydney and las vegas to see the sunrise on the new year could possibly be true. Someone from the CAG said pm wasn’t going abroad. I have to clarify in my blog. Anything u would like to add? Tq.”

The PM was also away at this time last year. But he is not alone. Many other ministers are also out of the country.

So if this is a gossip, a libel and a slander ( as I have alleged), I am willing to have debaters and visitors departing this blog in droves and not ever again commit sins by debating here as many a pious Muslim has been warning us lately.

SCHUMACHER FIGHTS FOR LIFE

Schumacher 'critical' following ski accident

AFPUpdated December 30, 2013, 7:30 am
Formula One legend Michael Schumacher is in a critical condition in a Grenoble hospital after suffering head injuries in a skiing accident in France.
French television station BFMTV and local paper Le Dauphine Libere reported on Sunday the condition of the record seven-times F1 champion has deteriorated.
Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm had earlier confirmed the 44-year-old German sustained head injuries from the accident in Meribel.
The seven-time German world champion, who reportedly owns property at the resort, was skiing off-piste with other skiers.
A specialist neurosurgeon from Paris has been brought in to oversee treatment of the 44-year-old German in the hospital in the southeastern city of Grenoble.
In initial comments to Radio Monte Carlo Sport, Gernigon-Lecomte had said Schumacher was wearing a helmet and was "conscious but a little agitated" after the accident.
But mountain police who gave first aid to the ex-Formula One driver said he was suffering "severe cranial trauma".
Within 10 minutes, a helicopter airlifted him to a local hospital. When the gravity of his condition became apparent, he was taken to the better-equipped Grenoble facility.
There, doctor Gerard Saillant, a renowned neurosurgeon, was rushed in by police to take charge of Schumacher's treatment.
Schumacher's spokeswoman, Sabine Kahn, confirmed the accident but gave no medical details.
"He was taken to hospital and is receiving professional medical attention. We ask for understanding that we cannot give out continuous information about his health," she said.
"No one else was involved in the fall."
Schumacher reportedly owns property in Meribel. He is to have his 45th birthday on January 3.
A towering figure in Formula One
Schumacher, who won the last of his world titles in 2004, definitively retired in 2012 in the Brazilian Grand Prix, in which he finished seventh, after an abandoned attempt to quit six years earlier.
Since his debut in 1991, the German towered over the sport, winning more Formula One world titles and races than any other. He had a record 91 wins and is one of only two men to reach 300 grands prix.
Schumacher's duels in his heyday with Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve, fired by an unquenchable competitive spirit, have gone down in Formula One lore.
Schumacher was born in January 1969 near Cologne, Germany, the son of a bricklayer who also ran the local go-kart track, where his mother worked in the canteen.
By 1987, Schumacher was the German and European go-kart champion and was soon racing professionally. In 1991 he burst into Formula One by qualifying seventh in his debut race in Belgium and a year later he was racing for Benetton, where he won his first Formula One grand prix in 1992.
After joining Ferrari in 1996, Schumacher achieved infamy by trying to ram Villeneuve off the road at Jerez in the last race of 1997, and was disqualified from the championship as punishment.
Over the next decade, he went from strength to strength, dominating the podium, before trying to retire the first time aged 37.
But the father of three could not resist the lure of the track and in 2010 he signed a three-year deal with Mercedes.
But slower reflexes and a less competitive car meant Schumacher could not reproduce his former glory and he quit for good in 2012. His helmet had a message for fans: "Life is about passions -- Thank you for sharing mine."

    PERKASA THE GREAT (NOT!)

There has been much ado about nothing with PERKASA. There has been much song and dance made by the Chinese, DAP in particular, about PERKASA being the unofficial 14th member of the Barisan Nasional coalition. Huh! PERKASA has as much chance of having more influence than MCA or any of the other 12 BN component parties in UMNO as I have an opportunity of marrying Angelina Jolene.

Let us get one thing clear from the onset. PERKASA lives and breaths at the pleasure of UMNO. Take away UMNO’s largesse and you will have a PERKASA that will be as effective or as relevant as Rosmah will be once Najib Tun Razak is no longer Prime Minister of Malaysia.

UMNO provides money for Berahim Berok to buy his toilet paper. UMNO provides money for Berahim Berok to buy roti. UMNO provides money for Berahim Berok to live the way he is living now – a General without an army and a stooge who has been given all that he requires to do the bidding of UMNO.

But with UMNO behind Berahim Berok he is an Alpha baboon in heat able to have his way with the ladies because he has the brute strength to do as he likes. He might have the best access to mating opportunities but the high stress level of fighting off challenges and guarding access to fertile females means that he will not stay at the top for long.

The same goes for PERKASA. Take away the UMNO equation and what is left is an empty tin…yes it makes the most noise but to what end? The noise it makes will annoy many people and soon the people will shut them up.

PERKASA is a aberration that will soon disappear from our consciousness once decent and responsible leaders take back this nation of ours from the present crop of first tier UMNO leaders whose agenda for political dominance is to use religion and race! Leaders who are bankrupt of any decent sensibilities but their own.

For now let us put up with Brahim Berok and his PERKASA the way we put up with mosquitoes and lalat. No need to kill the lalat or the mosquitoes...just a flick will make them go away.

The way we put up with the minor irritations in life that comes our way every now and then - grit our teeth and go on with life because it really does not make that much of a difference to our lives...and we will be the better for it.

Ambulan dalam kecemasan pun kena bayar tol?

Steadyaku47 comment: Came across this posting in DIALOG RAKYAT - does anybody know the real situation?

Ambulan dalam kecemasan pun kena bayar tol?

    TRANUNG KITE

    Fuck You Najib!

    steadyaku47 comment:
Saw this on Fadzil Yusof's blog...could not help myself...had to post it on my blog.

Birnam Forest has come to Dunsinane. Fear not Tun, for no man that's born of woman shall have power over you. Let the games begin.

If I am Najib I will be afriaid…very afraid. Mahathir has just fired his opening salvo across the S.S. Najib’s bow….with his latest posting on his blog CHE DET.....go read what Mahathir wrote!

Whether his wife will be afraid with or for him, or, more likely,  angry, is to be seen but both of them should have enough common sense to know that Hang Tuah (aka Mahathir)  is not really dead. The Bendahara have hidden Tuah away from the Sultan eyes and now that Jebat (aka Najib Razak) have been running amok for too long a time, it is time to bring Tuah back to right what is wrong! And I can tell you that no body relishes a fight like Mahathir does!

Mahathir is a man who thrives on conflict. He lives for moments when he has to do what he has promised to do if those who owes him a living no longer please him with what they do. And woe betide those who were still 'budak hingus meleleh' when Mahathir was King! Mahathir has always liked having Najib in his cabinet because he had Najib by his balls from his Port Dickson days to his antics as Ministers in Mahathir's cabinet. The Altanatuya debacle is just icing in the cake for Mahathir.

Mahathir thought that when he had Najib by his balls Najib's heart and mind will follow regardless of Rosmah! Unfortunately not so. All of Mahathir's 'tegoran' to Najib in the lead up to and after the 13th general election and the recent UMNO's party election have been ignored by Najib. Whether Najib did so on Rosmah's orders or on his own volition is moot but Mahathir is raring to put UMNO's house in order again  - his way!

How do we know that the inquisition on Najib have started? Watch what is happening around Najib and Rosmah these days and in the days to come.

The flavor of the week is Riza Aziz. By now most of you are familiar with the salient facts : Lots of money from parts unknown (most probably the Rakyat's!)  are being spent in the hundreds of millions of ringgit. Spent not today or in the immediate present but a long time ago and only now has it has suddenly become news! How has this been possible? Your guess is as good as mine but the desired effect of embarrassing Najib and Rosmah is already a done deal.

Keep watching as past and present bits and pieces concerning the 'better than a Bollywood movie' life of the Prime Minister and his Flom surfaces from time to time like time released medicinal capsules. All these data are being put into the public domain because 'the people should know' about the 'true facts' concerning their leader, his spouse and members of their families from first or second wives or husband.

How many times have Rosmah been married? Have Najib had any child out of wedlock? Did they 'do it' before they were married? Where did they 'do it'? How many times did they 'do it'? Ahhh they will be stories to tell and you can rest assured that Mahathir will be the Ring Master of this coming circus.

    There will be Altantuya again.

Then there is the continuing saga of Najib's Mindef Years. Wait for those insanely rich Malays already comfortably settled with their hundreds of millions of Mindef money in their bank accounts in parts unknown around the globe to suddenly start to feel home sick for Nasi Dagang or even Goreng Pisang - and wanting to come back with offers to negotiate a 'tell it all' exposure in return for a 'get out of jail' pass. Imagine what a tale they could tell of Najib's time as Minister of Defense! Amin Shah and Razak Baginda would be prime candidates for these kind of a deal - if they are not already being propositioned for same!

One or two of Najib's many dalliances in Singapore with members of the opposite sex will be hinted at if not exposed in totality with names and salacious recollections by those involved. In fact just one exposure would be enough to make his life unbearable with you know who!

Also for exposure will be the monumental effort made to contain the goings on - both sexual and financials - of Najib and Rosmah! Can you imagine the amount of money that was required to keep everybody quiet? What projects, contracts, tenders and government business opportunities have to be kautim in order to contain any possible exposures of these abuses?

I tell you this -  Mahathir has more to work on with Najib than he had with Pak Lah.

How long does Najib has before he throws in the towel?
Sometime in 2014 would be a good guess. They already have a daughter being married off to someone in Kazakhstan with houses in New York that would come in handy should they chose to live there or maybe they could tompang Riza Aziz's RM33.5 million Park Laurel pad? Sudah diatur!

Well Tun, Birnam Forest has come to Dunsinane. Fear not Tun, for no man that's born of woman shall have power over you. Let the games begin.
