If the Malays were not given the chance to know UMNO
we Malays would still be thinking and dreaming of the coming of UMNO as the
Party that will solve all our problems. And now that we know UMNO - now that we have tried UMNO – future
generations of Malays will say thanks but no thanks! UMNO is out of our system!
We have already realized that this was a mistake. But we would never have
believed anyone that tried to tell us 50 years ago unless we tried it for
ourselves. Kelantan was the first to have said NO. And then Selangor, Kedah, Penang
and Perak. It took Russia 70 years to reject Communism. Can we now say that we
took just over 50 years to reject UMNO?
