If you believe in GOD pray. If you do not believe in GOD, also pray! Its done bar the announcement of the victor later tonight. Whether Pakatan Rakyat win, lose or are robbed of their victory we know that the change we have been working for these last few years have taken place!
I have said a few days back that there will NOT be
another May 13th this time around because at the first sign of this
happening PAS have pledged to deploy their rank and file to protect the
non-Malays! We have protected each other with a fierceness that is born out of respect and a love for each other!
I have said that it will be common sense that will
decide the victors or the vanquish of this election and from the manner our
people have conducted themselves throughout this historic Sunday we have come
of age politically. The issues this election is being fought upon is good
governance – nothing more and nothing less. Surely if our people have been
responsible enough to conduct themselves with decorum and discipline any
incoming government cannot do less!
I have said that Pakatan Rakyat will win this election
– no ifs, no buts, no caveat on winning – simply that Pakatan Rakyat will win! Just
look at what happened today – a general election where our own people are
policing the very nuts and bolts of the election process! Before this an
election meant people lining up like sheeps and herded like cattle's by the
authorities into a line and everyone waits patiently in all weather for their turn to
pangkah the ballot paper and then they go home. The authorities go through the
motions of counting the ballot papers and then the UMNO led Barisan Government
continues with their merry making, pillaging and plundering for another five
years!
But not this time around!
As I said win, lose or robbed of victory
Pakatan Rakyat has won this election because from today Pakatan Rakyat is a
force to be reckoned with in Malaysian politics. It is not Barisan Nasional
that says this because Barisan Nasional cannot and will not say this – it is
the people that has already said this though this 13th general election. This is
not the Pakatan Rakyat of the 12th general election when it won five
states, not the Pakatan Rakyat that had its MPs and a State taken away from
them in a manner that has forever shamed UMNO. No …this time around this is a
Pakatan Rakayt that truly represents Malaysians! Not just Malays, Chinese,
Indians, Dayaks, Kadazan or any one else that calls Malaysia home – but a
Pakatan Rakyat that gives notice to Malaysians that it is ready to govern
Malaysia - if not this 13th general election then certainly the next.
Sometimes you have to lose a battle to win a war. Maybe this is the battle that
Pakatan Rakyat has to lose to win the war not only against the UMNO led Barisan
Nasional but more crucial against the mind-set of our own people. Only time
will tell…another few hours.
So wait my friends with bated breath and be resolute
in your resolve to do what is right for our future.
I know that Pakatan Rakyat
have put the fear of GOD into this UMNO led Barisan Nasional!
I know that from
today arrogance and greed will be kept under lock and key and taken
out ever so rarely by any serving politicians lest the Rakyat tires of their
antics.
I know that I no longer have to look over my shoulder if I am not with
another Malay to protect my flank or my back. A Chinese, Indian, Dayak, Kadazan
or any other Malaysian will do! We are one now. This 13th general
election has done that!
Kita sudah UBAH!
Sir,
ReplyDeleteI am sad that a two-party system is still in the womb awaiting birth.
It is obvious from the voting trends that urban and rural areas differs in the information sources available; internet and mainstream media.
