Yes, the royal baby is on it's way!
After over two weeks of global anticipation for Duchess Kate andPrince William's first child, both Clarence House and New Idea's royal sources have confirmed the Duchess of Cambridge is currently in labour.
The official Clarence House twitter account confirmed the news via Twitter after a photographer sent the Twitter-sphere into a spiral of rumours.
Clarence House tweeted:
"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labour."
And continued:
"The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge."
Rumours began after photographer Jesal Parshotam tweeted today:
"@royaltydaily we saw the convoy and the security. She is in. Hopefully everything is smooth, and the pregnancy goes well #RoyalBaby"
And were fuelled by BBC reporter Peter Hunt:
"The Duchess of Cambridge is in labour and has gone to give birth at the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in London. #RoyalBaby," the reporter tweeted.
Prince William accompanied Kate to the hospital and is by her side as she gives birth.
