Report from a Taiwanese daily: Within 8 years Flying Hippo spents 800 millions by using her credit cards.
Prime Minister of Malaysia, Najib Razak has been embroiled in the 1MDB financial scandal for quite some time now. Now the investigation has shifted to his wife, Rosmah Mansor . Documents have revealed that the bejewelled Rosmah has used USD 6,000,000 (six million) in the last 8 years. The sources of these money is still being investigated.
Recently demonstrations have been held in Malaysia demanding that the Attorney General investigate the millions she has been spending on, among other things, on clothing, Hermes bags etc.
Rosmah parents are teachers. Her husband yearly income has been around USD100,00.Rosmah has claimed that the money she has has been spending are from savings that she has been keeping all her life.
The always elaborately costumed 64 year old Rosmah is the centre of much controversy. In her autobiography she has said that she and her husband are very thrifty in their habits . All the jewels and clothing she has has bought has been money from her own savings...so , she asks...."what is wrong with that?"
From 2009 to 2015 Najib has been accused of receiving hundreds of millions of money from 1MDB. The WSJ has provided documents confirming that the money came from 1MDB and was transferred to Najib's private account.
Najib has denied that he has been involved in any activities that is against the law.
WSJ have provided documents that shows that in 2014, Rosmah Mansor was in Europe and in the US, spending over 1 million US. All that was charged to Najib Razak's credit card that was paid by 1MDB.
Najib and rosmah has refused to comment.
Documents shows that the costs is part of what Rosmah has spent in 2008 to 2025 at Harrods, London, New York, Saks Avenue and other luxury and branded good outlets to buy clothing, shoes, jewellery - and all this totalled over 6 million US dollars.
Najib and Rosmah met in 1982 when she was working in a real estate company. She stopped working when they married. After Najib became PM the arrogance of Rosmah created much controversy. Pictures on the web shows that she owes at least a dozen Hermes gold Aimashibo bag. The original bags, at the cheapest costs over USD 30,000 each (NT 20,000 million each).

One of the auction's stars was a 12-inch Hermès Birkin matte Himalayan crocodile handbag, with white-gold hardware set with 245 F-colour diamonds, weighing close to 10 carats. With a pre-sale estimate of $US190,000 to $260,000, it was billed as "the most valuable handbag in the world".
