Bila Sdr lontarkan cabaran itu dlm sidang media semalam, Sdr kata nak debat. Mungkin Sdr kurang arif mengenai makna debat.
Sekali lagi saya ulangi, kalau benar nak debat, saya cadangkan 29/3 malam di kawasan Sdr sendiri iaitu Pokok Sena. Sila uruskan dewan dan permit jika perlu. Maklumlah, kalau kami yg uruskan tentu ada banyak halangan.
Kedah Menteri Besar Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah received an unexpected visitor today, the man he ousted, Mukhriz Mahathir.
Mukhriz posted a photo of his visit on his Instagram account and
wished Ahmad Bashah, who had been out of duty due to medical reasons,
would have a full recovery.
"Visiting the menteri besar who is, Alhamdulillah, getting better and
will resume work tomorrow. May he fully recover, inshaa Allah," read
the photo caption.
Ahmad Bashah had reportedly blacked out while attending a meeting at
the Hotel Grand Alora, Alor Setar on June 4, before being rushed to the
Kedah Medical Centre.
He was referred to the Penang Hospital the following day, where he underwent surgery due to intestinal complications.
steadyaku47 comment: We are being led to believe that the "crisis" in Kedah is one between who the people of Kedah wants as their MB and what the powers that be from Umno wants as their MB. Lest we get carried away with the rhetoric's being hurled at each other by both side a few "facts" has emerged from this conundrum.
At the last Kedah state executive council weekly meeting only three out of the nine exco members attended that meeting with Menteri Besar Mukhriz. Any which way you look at it - Mukhriz no longer has the support of Umno in Kedah.
And since the state exco are the elected representative of the people of Kedah, common sense tells you that Mukhriz no longer has the support of the people of Kedah too.
As president of Umno, Najib Razak appointed Mukhriz to the position of MB and as president of Umno he can replace Mukhriz with someone who enjoys the confidence of Umno and the elected representative of the people of Kedah - in this case the Kedah State Assemblymen - six of which did not attend the weekly exco meeting held recently.
Mukhriz’s function as state liaison chief was no
longer tenable. “In UMNO’s structure, the liaison head is appointed by
the Prime Minister as the UMNO President, but the appointment is
supported by the divisions in the state. So if the divisions no longer
support you, you no longer can function, it is as simple as that,”Othman Aziz
This is an open and shut case. Anything else are just sandiwara which money, influence and your ability to "play politics" can make happen. Whether that involve organizing a crowd of thousands to parade the streets of Kedah to loudly voice their support for or against Mukhriz or have people from various walks of life voice their reasons as to why Mulhriz can or cannot stay as MB.
For now, Mukhriz work in Kedah is done.
The other question that begs to be answered is why Mukhriz did not have his family with him in Kedah and spends too much time in KL instead of Kedah where he should be 24/7. The following posting I did of Antares "Mahathir's Dodo Dynasty way back in November 2009 answers that question.
Morale of this story? MB's are a dime a dozen. They are there at the pleasure of those that put them there. No if's no but's.
A friend forwarded me an email with a
selection of photos taken at a recent gala housewarming party hosted by
Mukhriz Mahathir. The images were from a local gossip blog and
merely revealed without commentary the Gatsbyesque garishness and
pompousness of Mukhriz Mahathir's lifestyle preferences...
I
decided to turn these images into a blogpost and began editing the
photos. When I was ready to upload I discovered my Streamyx connection
down again (third time within two weeks!) - this time it was due to a
dysfunctional phone line. That happened around 3:00PM Saturday.
It's
almost 2:00PM Monday as I type this and Telekom has been unable to get
my line working. Each time this happens I think of Mahathir and his
privatization program and vow to do everything within my power to
prevent Mukhriz Mahathir from establishing a Mahathir dynasty.
We need another dynasty of arrogant mediocrity like we need a great big hole in our wallets!
This
blogpost comes to you from the same cybercafe I had to use every day
for 3 years, while waiting for Telekom to provide me a land line.
Back
in 1975, when I was living at 7 Pesiaran Ampang Hilir, I applied for a
phone and was made to wait nearly 3 years. Telekom's monumental lack of
enthusiasm over the notion of progress is perhaps a quaint and wonderful
cultural trait - but I don't think it does a telco's public image any
good.
Looking at the new mansion that Mukhriz Mahathir built, one can't help but speculate about how much it might have cost...
A wild guess might put the overall cost between RM15-20 million.
Apart
from shooting his mouth off at every opportunity and coming across as
an overconfident moron (the worst type of moron, if you ask me), what
DOES Mukhriz Mahathir actually do? Does he have any marketable skills or
special talents?
Is
he a financial whizkid, for instance? I doubt it. Mutual friends assure
me that Mukhriz Mahathir can be quite a charming and affable fellow.
Maybe so, but does being "charming and affable" mean you can afford to
live in a multi-million ringgit mansion?
I
know his elder brother Mirzan is ranked among the richest men in Asia
(read somewhere he was worth USD8.5 billion a couple of years ago)... I
guess when your daddy is Mahathir or Suharto it's impossible to fail in
business, no matter how hard you try.
So
how do you suppose Mukhriz amassed his fortune? Surely not on his
cabinet minister's salary? Does he have a couple of hit albums on the
charts?
I
don't have a problem with people who strike it rich by fortuitously
stumbling on a cave filled with pirate treasure... or who inherited a
fortune from their tycoon fathers... or who invented something the world
finds useful - like the personal computer or iPhone or Google...
But
Mukhriz Mahathir's dad is a politician. To be precise, he was prime
minister for 22 years. He has publicly lashed out against corruption and
Umno-style money politics (while privately stashing his store of nuts
away in offshore hiding places, no doubt). So did daddy give Mukhriz
this mansion as a birthday present, for boldly speaking out against
Abdullah Badawi's lameness and making snide remarks about the
seriousness of Anwar's sodomy accusations?
Guess we'll never know... unless Marina spills the beans!

It is not often that I make a point of reading what anyone writes on their FB pages.
Sopian Ahmad is the exception.
I go to his FB page every time he makes any comments on things that interest me....for you see I have the privilege of being a "friend" to Sopian on FB....and I say it is a privilege because I have learnt much from reading what he writes.
I think he is older than me and from what he writes I know he is not only older but wiser than me. In these last few days he has written on the happenings in Kedah and it would do us all good to read what he has written.
From our "conversation" on FB I think Sopian has served in government at the highest level...how high I do not really know because this is not something he talks about. The measure of this man can be gauged by the possibility...and I say a possibility because I am not sure of it myself....that he is a Datuk (that is what some people seem to address him when commenting on what he writes in his FB page). If he is then he is the kind of Datuk that I have much respect for because he takes much effort to ensure that as few of us are aware of his title as he possibly can. Tabek Tuan.

Mahdzir Khalid: Move meant to strengthen Kedah Umno. There is no
personal agenda in Kedah Umno’s call for the Prime Minister to make an
immediate change to the state leadership.
The said the loss of
trust was due to a number of reasons, including Mukhriz’s alleged
inability to unite the party leadership and machinery at all levels in
the state.
Perhatian saya:
Sementara hampir seluruh rakyat ingin melihat PM Najib berhenti kerana
apa yg berlaku berkaitan dengan, kapal selam, Altantoya, 1 MDB, RM2.6B.
Rm40M, Cincin, perkahwinan besar, kegunaan jet rasmi, tiba tiba ada puak
diKedah yg kata MB Kedah tak boleh satukan UMNO. Dan dia kena
dijatuhkan.
Kebetulan pula MB Kedah tu anak Tun Mahathir.
Kebetukan pula Tun Mahathir tu orang terkuat sedang menyengat PM Najib diatas kelakuannya itu.
jadi orang Kedah dan pengundi diKedah kena celek mata dan faham apa sebenarnya niat puak yg nak jatuhkan YAB Mukhriz ni.
Mereka adalah dari blok Najib. Mereka mahu semua dalam UMNO yang
menentang Najib dikeluarkan. Macam Tan Sri Muhyidin dan Shafie Apdal
lah.
Kemudian sat lagi depa nanti keriau: Msia adalah negara sistem demokrasi!
Demokrasi ketoyo apa?
Orang bangkang depa terajang keluaq.
Nak lawan berdebat dengan akal fikiran hangpa berketiyau macam tanah liat jadinya.
Yang saya nampak ialah ini semua kerja PM Najib. Dia tahu Mukhriz tidak menyokongnya.
YAB Mukhriz menyokong Tan Sri Muhyidin. Ingat siapa pi melawat Tan Sri Muhyidin bila Najib membuangnya dari Kabinet dulu?
Seluruh negara tahu Tun Mahathir menentang PM Najib diatas kelakuan nya
dan 1 MDB dan lain lain lagi. Mukhriz anak Tun Mahathir. Tidak susah
rakyat melihat pertalian ini. Makanya Najib pasti akan jatuhkan Mukhriz.
Jadi, ketua ketua bahagian UMNO Kedah bersama anggota kabinet
Najib dari Kedah, untuk mengekalkan kedudukan mereka, kenalah cari jalan
menghapuskan sesiapa saja yg tidak bersetuju dengan najib.
Begitulah YAB Mukhriz sedang dikorbankan.
Apa yg wajib dibuat oleh rakyat Kedah dan pengundi Kedah?
Carilah kebenaran. Lihat pemimpin mana yg jujur, ikhlas dan berada
disebelah kebenaran. Kita semua tahu sekarang, PM Najib telah dikaitkan
dengan pelbagai skandal. 1 MDB sudah cukup meranapkan ekonomi negara.
Pelbagai rasuah dikaitkan kepadanya. Derma RM2.6B. Wang KWAP RM40 Miliun
masuk keakaun nya. Betul salah hal ini biar mahkamah tentukan. Tetapi
dalam politik sebutan perkaitan begini sudah cukup memburukan namanya.
Dan mereka yg hendak menjatuhkan YAB Mukhriz ini, adalah penyokong PM
Najib.
Mahukah orang Kedah dan Pengundi Kedah menyokong mereka?

lingkup kena sapu! Ingat Kemana perginya RM2.67B duit derma untuk UMNO?
Kemana pergi RM40M duit KWAP? Ingat apa terjadi bila Najib beli Kapal
selam masa dia jadi menteri pertahanan?

Saudara & Saudari dan yang lain lain....LGBT included...(let it not be said that steadyaku47 is that way or this way inclined).....we are all of the human race (as Donplaypuks is fond of saying)....it is Selangor all over again albeit with a twist....not ala Chubby Checker but ala that most despicable, most odious and most corrupt and unworthy first born son of our Tun Abdul Razak also known as Najib Razak aka wife of Rosmah Mansor and some other names best not mentioned among our friends....nudge nudge wink wink....
And what is this "twist" that I am talking about?
In Selangor case there was the Boss (Anwar Ibrahim) and his proxy (Azizah). In Kedah's case there is also the Boss (Rosmah Mansor) and her proxy wife (Najib a Jib Jib).
Selangor had a Sultan who was only too eager to impose his considerable "royal will" upon PKR with or without the assists of Umno. And in the end the Sultan had his way with Azmin.
In Kedah the Yang di Pertuan Agong is d man! The Royals (all nine of them!) have, in recent times, started to flex their muscles against the usurper of their Royal powers....Umno. How far the Agong will go towards further reclaiming that Royal prerogative already lost to Umno will define his willingness to get involve or stay away from what is now happening in his home state.
Has our King the moral courage to do what is best for his people in Kedah, his subjects in Malaysia and his brother Rulers - even if that meant going against what Najib and a compliant Umno wants to do. The jury will be sitting on this one. We will sit with them for now
Another twist is that there was vigorous dissent within Pakatan Rakyat for who was to be their unanimous choice for MB. In Umno's case it would seem that all dissent within Umno sudah di kauntim (ahem....that Rm 2.6 billion "donation" sure can help lah!) and as for the possibility of dissent within BN....can Pigs fly? Duh!
Next....In Kedah Mukhriz the incumbent may have lost the support of Umno but he has the people of Kedah with him. Mat Bashah, the dreamer who is Najib's proxy, has as much charisma as a limp wrist!
Azmin in Selangor was always the front runner for the post of MB but only made his move when he was "invited" to do so by the Sultan. Now who will invite this Mat Bashah in Kedah? Najib? Hell no.....the Agong and the people of Kedah will have more credibility.....and of course any "invite" from Najib will have to come via Rosmah. No can do lah!
Now it is a race against time. Five planets are aligning and parading across the dawn sky from yesterday in a rare celestial spectacle set to repeat every morning until late next month. In Malaysia all the forces, factions and a rag tag band of vested, party, individual and political interests are marshaling against Najib. We can just hope that the dismissal of Mukhriz - when it happens - will align them all together to gel and make Najib and his husband Rosmah take the highway to where the sun no longer shine.....preferably on a one way ticket san any stop overs on the way there!
Whatever is already happening in this show of shows up North have already consigned what happened in Selangor between Khalid, Azmin and Azizah to a supporting role in our political history. They say that when elephants fights it is the grass that will suffer most....well not this time!
Win or lose Najib has hammered enough nails into his coffin to have his pall bearers ready and willing to take him to the next step.....carry him to his political demise. Whether he is taking Umno, BN and the legacy that Tun Razak with him is to be seen.
This is it for Najib. He is already dead meat. In battle they call it staring down the barrel of a gun. In Najib's case for sure that someone else will be doing the staring for him....but the end will still be the same....if the bullet finds its target, he is toast! Kaput. Finito. Terminated. Finisaj. 结束. अंत. பூச்சு...Tiada maaf! Dead meat!
Neither are the occupants of Seri Perdana as reports filtering in from the North tells Najib that while UMNO Kedah no longer has confidence in Mukhriz's ability to lead them, the people of Kedah who voted for Mukhriz to be their MB (as promised by Najib himself) begs to differ...loudly, noisly and with much vigor!
Umno Kedah has a new leader in Mat Bashah but who will the people of Kedah choose to lead them? Their MB or Najib's proxy?
All this will unfold in the next few hours or at most within the next few days as daylight breaks over Kedah....today Thursday 21st January 2016.
Umno against the wishes of the people of Kedah.
A familiar story has already unfold over most of our nation...Umno againts the people of Malaysia but in Kedah the focus is internal. Within Umno.
It is not one member of Umno against Najib. It is not one Umno leader in Kedah against Najib.
It is the electorate who voted for Mukhriz to be their MB against Najib.
Surely this is the perfect storm we have been waiting for...a storm where all that is good is align against all that is evil? The people against that most odious of leaders - Najib Razak!
