'Only a miracle' can save Schumacher: report

The family of Formula One legend Michael Schumacher has reportedly been told "only a miracle" can save him.
The German has been in a French hospital since late Decemeber after suffering serious brain injuries in a skiing accident.
He has been in an artificially induced coma for 69 days, which experts say is more than three times longer than normal.
UK newspaper The Telegraph is reporting Schumacher’s family is losing hope that he will recover and are assuming he will remain in a vegetative state for the rest of his life.
"The family has been told that only a miracle can bring him back now," a senior German journalist reporting on the Schumacher case said.
"He is in a bad way but until the family issues a formal statement, we cannot publish anything," he added.
Another source added: "Doctors have given it to them straight. Miracles sometimes happen but there is little hope that he will come out of this."
Schumacher's management say doctors are gradually reducing drug levels to hopefully bring him out of his coma.
They say the 45-yer-old is currently in a "wake up" phase and there has been no change in his condition.
"Michael is still in a wake up phase, the situation has not altered," spokeswoman Sabine Kehm said on Friday.
Doctors say that even if Schumacher does wake up he will suffer severe disabilities and has little chance of living a normal life.
Schumacher won seven Formula One world championships in a decorated career that spanned 21 years.
