cakap cakap Mahathir ....Again that "the enemy of your enemy is my friend" thing?

Mahathir's decision to leave Umno for the second time only echoed what has happened with Onn Jaafar, Tunku, Hussein Onn and to a lesser extent to Ku Li, Musa and Anwar Ibrahim. 

That it was so long in coming was pointed out to me two nights ago when I received a call from KL from one of my long time sahabat who now considers himself a "conditional" Zahid loyalist. Conditional because he was certain that Zahid ascent to the number one position is not certain.  

He asked me when I thought Mahathir would leave Umno? I ventured an opinion that if Mahathir did leave Umno now, would he not be crying "WOLF" once too often? 

In reply, he said, "We wait and see." 

He told me that Zahid did not have consensus within Umno to be DPM. 

It was a "Captain's Call" by Najib to make Zahid DPM. 

A call Najib made reluctantly because he would rather have Hishamuddin watch his back. But between nepotism and having someone who could muster the troops if push comes to shove within Umno, Najib chose pragmatism. But Najib understood that if Zahid is able to muster the troops in support of him, Zahid could also muster the troops against him. That Najib is no fool! 

So my sahabat in KL told me that was why he is a "conditional" loyalist of Zahid because the feeling within Zahid's camp is that their boss will be number one soon but it is not a done deal yet. 

"Who else's" I asked "is campaigning?"

He would not be drawn into putting his two cents worth on this issue because "anything can happen".

Yes Sir!...anything can happen!

Najib is a lame duck President of Umno. His position within Umno is by the grace of those who are financially indebted to him. 

Have you ever had anyone been indebted to you because you loaned them much more money that they can ever repay you with. Sure he is indebted to you ...but does he want you dead or alive? 

The same with those in Umno who are financially indebted to Najib. All of them will heave a sign of "good riddance" once Najib is gone...and the recriminations will start as soon as the new prime minister is put in place. For now, they all wait.

As for Mahathir joining that core group whose objective is to oust Najib...that "the enemy of your enemy is my friend" thing...did we not have the same thing with Pakatan Rakyat? Now where is Pakatan Rakyat today? 

What is more interesting to me is that Mahathir will now join me and many others in our effort to free Anwar Ibrahim. Najib and Saiful be afraid, be very afraid! We all want our pound of flesh from these two and damm if they bleed!

Muhyiddin : Until he leaves Umno, join our side, tells all he knows about the criminality within Umno he will always be the enemy.

Muhyiddin di gantung jawatan!

Do I care?

Did it kept me awake last night?

Did I choke on my lunch or dinner tonight?

Hell no! This was the same Muhyiddin who did Mahathir's bidding to Anwar Ibrahin and is now on the recieving of the same thing...this time from Najib.

The same Muhyiddin whom Abang Lah thought was a sahabat karib (loyal and trustworthy friend) but was in fact the "musuh dalam selimut" that ultimately caused Abang Lah to resign his post as prime minister.

I know what Muhyiddin did to Abang Lah cut Abang Lah deeply......but Abang Lah is a gracious and forgiving man and politics he can live with or without.

This Muhyiddin is now like a woman scorned. He knows there is no returning to the fold of Umno for he knows as we do, that no DPM in Umno's history has ever survived their fall from grace - not even Anwar Ibrahim. 

For him, like it was for Anwar Ibrahim, if there is to be any political life left to salvage, it will have to be outside Umno.

So what will he do now?

Until he leaves Umno and join OUR side, he is still the enemy. 

Until he tells all that he knows about the criminality of what Umno and Najib Razak has done, he is still our enemy.

And until he leaves Umno, join our side, tells all he knows about the criminality within Umno he will always be the enemy.

He has grown insanely rich on the spoils of his time with Umno. He has also grown lazy, fat and bloated because of Umno. 

And he is not Anwar Ibrahim. 

So do not look towards Muhyiddin to do an "Anwar Ibrahim"......to burn all his bridges with Umno and start from ground zero. 

Can you see Muhyiddin leading another sort of "REFORMASI" against Umno? Can you see Muhyiddin not crumbling in the face of possible incarceration as the present regime under Najib digs all the dirt, scams and abuse of public office from the time he was MB of Johor until now? Muhyiddin is anything but a fighter of Anwar's calibre!

So persih that thought if you think that Muhyiddin will do this ...."demand the PM step down ....put aside racial, religious & ideological sentiments and work towards forming a government that is just, trustworthy, and with integrity."   

Like Ku Li, Muhyiddin will not have the stomach for hand to hand combat against those who can punish him as they have punished Anwar Ibrahim....and we must not allow ourselves to be used as pawns for his vested self interest in his fight against Najib Razak.

Until he proves otherwise, he is of no use to us in our fight for a just, trustworthy government with ethics and integrity.

  Muhyiddin, where were you back in 1998 when you and other members of the Supreme Council - under Mahathir's instructions - did to Anwar what they are now doing to you under Najib's instructions?
  
  You should have been mindful of what Anwar said then: "If he can do it to me, imagine what he can do to you". But back then you, like everyone else in Umno, were too incensed with power and greed to care about the presence of God around you.
  
  From various departure halls, our soul will arrive at the same destination to answer questions from the immigration and customs officials whom you will not be able to "influence".

8.07 AM :  Selamat Pagi..... Saturday morning and I have already posted two "heavy" posting ....one on WSJ and their take on Najib an his various "questionable" deeds with emphasis on 1MDB and the other on what the people of Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand did to oust their corrupt leaders. 

I know it is Saturday and I know that you would rather read something more "entertaining" to begin the weekend with....and so would I...but these are tiring and troubling times for our people, our country and for our future. We cannot ignore the fact that Najib Razak the primary cause of much that is wrong with our country still woke up this morning in Seri Perdana. He still is undeservedly prime minister of our nation. He still can, in many ways, steal billions from our national coffers.

So use the weekend to plot his political demise....and raising that finger of yours in saute to Najib is no longer enough!

  You need to do more. 

You must do more. 

I will continue to write more...what will you do?

The fall of Suharto, Marcos and Thaksin happened because the people had enough of corruption by their leaders. The people took to the streets in the hundreds and thousands if not in the millions, to demonstrate their contempt for these leaders and suffered the consequences of their action, sacrificing when neccessary, their lives. 

But what of Najib in Malaysia?

He is still Prime Minister. The corruption, the looting, pillaging and plundering of our country's coffers continues unabated, if not has even accelearted, as Najib and his cohorts realized that time is no longer on their side. What will Malaysians now do to try and salvage what is left of our nation, our national coffers, our people, our society and our future? 

Indonesians had done it. 

The Pinoys had done it. 

The Thais had done it. 

Will the Malaysians do it ?
