Give me the racism that exists in Australia for I know I can deal with it...I am powerless against the racism that exists in Malaysia.

If there Racism in Australia? Of course there are! There are racist anywhere you go in this world. Even Sweden and Switzerland. Muslims are being killed in Burma. In the USA racial profiling is still a problem. In the Middle East, Muslims kill each other in another form of Racism that simply defies logic and reason.

So there is Racism in Australia and there is Racism in Malaysia...in fact anywhere you go, there will be Racism....but let me tell you what is the difference between a racist in Malaysia and a racist in Australia.

The racists in Australia are powerless!

There are no racists in Australia who are the law makers of the land. No Ministers in the Australian cabinet are racists. The Prime Minister of Australia is not a racist because if he is ever seen to be doing anything bordering on being a racist - he will no longer be Prime Minister of Australia - the Australian people will see to that!

The racists in Australia are mostly uneducated, low-income Australians  who, at most can rant and create havoc for a few minutes in public when they let loose their racism tendencies against the foreigners in public transport or on the streets.  And when they do, the Australian public will quickly go  to the defence of the racism victim and tell the offender to stop being a racist and will report the incident to the authorities for the offender to be prosecuted. And the courts will certainly prosecute the racist offender and impose upon him or her what punishment it deems necessary.

In Malaysia who are the racists?

The racists in Malaysia are from the highest echelon of government - from the prime minister down. They are the executive authorities, the law makers, the judiciary, the law enforcement authorities....the three million in Umno!

The racists in Malaysia can and do make a difference as to how our country is governed and how things are done to isolate, ostracised and harass those who are different from the Malays. Racism then becomes a tool to advance the cause of one race against the other - for the purpose of political advancement - the political advancement of UMNO!

So please give me the racism that exists in Australia for I can deal with it....I know I am powerless against the racism that exists in Malaysia.

Cina celaka. Melayu babi. India pundek.

steadyaku47 comment : A good read.

EP Puiii's

Orang melayu cakap CINA CILAKA sebab semua cina sudah kebas dan monopoli business do Malaysia. Semua Cina sudah kaya.

Orang Cina cakap MELAYU BABI sebab pegang semua kuasa dan bumiputera banyak istimewa di Malaysia. Cina sudah rugi banyak.

Orang India cakap .

Orang Melayu tak mampu beli rumah dulu dulu sebab tak berapa cukup wang. Mungkin baru kerja atau baru berniaga. Jadi diadakan itu kuota bumiputera. So that, boleh beli dengan sikit murah.

Percentage orang Melayu miskin dulu dulu memang tinggi and orang Cina pun faham.

So kenapa jadi problem sekarang ? Problem sebab ABUSE. Cina pun sama jilaker, melayu pun sama jilaker. Dato Cina kasi Dato Melayu makan wang, Dato Melayu kasi project dan tanah.

The inbalance is no more in the racial differences. Tapi inbalance between the top society and the common people on the streets. The people in the category of 'who they know' and the people who don't know anyone began to drift apart.

It is like a time bomb waiting to explode.

And to make it worst, bila ada problem di 'atas' these blardy people gunakan this racial issue untuk kasi orang orang marah dan bergaduh. Problem kecil jadi besar bila ada manipulation of facts.

This has to stop. And it better happen now, before we all semua rugi.

Cakap cakap....What could have been......

I am 68 years old today. Six decades plus eight!

Older than Malaya Merdeka and certainly much older than Malaysia!

As is my habit I was awake by 5.30 this morning. Awake not in my unit at Bangsar Permai in Bangsar but in my apartment in Fitzroy in Melbourne. If I had been in  Bangsar I would have had my morning ablutions and then headed for the morning market in Lucky Gardens to get breakfast and groceries....instead I waited until Coles opened and went there to get some freshly baked cheese sticks for breakfast and groceries for the weekend.

Like me many hundreds and thousands of Malaysians....millions even...wake up in foreign land this Saturday morning and instead of Nasi Lemak, Yam Tow Foo, Roti Chanai and other Malaysian delicacies to get for breakfast (and by so doing allow the Ma Chiks and hawkers to make a bit more money from their small businesses) ...we have for breakfast pastries, cereals and what the locals too have for their breakfast....and put our hard earned money into a foreign economy instead of Malaysia's. First thing in the morning Malaysia is already losing out because millions of Malaysian now choose to live elsewhere! And that my friend is what I am thinking about when I woke up early in the morning....on a day when I turned 68 years!

What saddens me most about Malaysia is what we...our country, our people, our economy, our way of life, our values and passions and all those things that have taken decades to evolve into making us the people we all were once.....MALAYSIANS....all these things have now been probably lost forever to the ravages brought upon by  this odious and contemptible brand of politics that divides and rules our people since the time Mahathir came to power!

We could have been the envy of Asia if not the world as a nation that is "truly Asian".

Where that oft repeated phrase "One Malaysia" is not just an empty political slogan but a fact because we were already that and more many decades ago.

Today we could have been a multi racial, multi religious community totally celebrating our unity in diversity, instead our politicians would have us be at each others throat over race and religion because that is what serves their interest best!

We could all be building a Malaysia of our aspiration for the future instead of having millions of our people fleeing abroad to reluctantly seek places to call home where they are welcomed and where the will be given the opportunity to live as equals and appreciated for what they contribute towards nation building in that new country they choose to migrate to instead of living in Malaysia.

And most hideous of all we would not be a nation battling crippling corruption and the abuse of public office to serve the wants of a few at the expense of the many many millions of Malaysians.

Today politics permeates every orifice of every Malaysians. It troubles our ears to hear the inane chattering of politicians that shouts "ME!"..."ME!"...."ME!"...not only to themselves but to everybody else! The sights and sounds of politics is everywhere around us  - deafening us with their self praise and blinding us with the glare and dazzle of their insane wealth acquired at our expense.

That most precious part of yourself...your children...ask yourself what have they learned at school? It does not matter if they are Malay, Chinese, Indian or any other Malaysian...ask yourself what are they being taught?

when we should all be able to do this

 remember...

I am sorry to start this day off in such a negative way...I sincerely hope that out of this negativity some positivity will emerge as once again I remind you all....I am one, with you we are two. Who else will join us to rid our nation of this terminal cancer - racism - inflicted upon our people by our damm politicians? Who?

Saudara Lee Hsein Loong of Singapore says it best!
and Tunku...our Tunku!

Jeesha King Dhano : I am an Indian. I am proud of my race.

steadyaku47 comment : Kelohan saorang India.

Jeesha King Dhanoa

I had enough of this racial issue wildly spreading in this Country.

Today I was physically assaulted by an uneducated Malay woman in her 50's because of my race. She brutally punched me saying that she is sick of looking at Kelings in this Country and told me to go back to where I originated from.

The issue was initially about her ramming into my parked car but in the end, the issue gradually turned racial...she just kept saying horrible disgusting things and foul words about Indians and claimed that all 'Kelings' like myself should drop dead.

I am an Indian.

I am proud of my race.

I dont deserve to be treated like this just because of the color of my skin.

Malaysia does'nt belong to MALAYS. It belongs to everyone that resides in this Country. Malays should stop being in denial. Fyi, you people actually originate from Indonesia.

Enough is enough.

She's doomed and I am going ensure that this woman is taught a lesson. For those Malays in my fb list who happens to be extremists and racists as well, please get out of my list. I cant stand shallow minded uncivilized people like this. Enough of non Malays being treated like this! Enough. Respect us non malays!! Please share n spread this post showing her number plate. Apparently she hails from Lumut, Perak.

Racism is good for you...so says UMNO!

Racism alive and well in Malaysia? Of course it is! You must be in denial if you think otherwise. Anywhere you go, whatever you do, however hard you try to shake it off, everywhere you turn…..RACISM will be there! In education, at work, in the civil service, the Police, the Armed Forces, the Banks, the Insurance companies, in business, in the hospitals…every where you look, racism is there covertly or overtly doing its dirty work of dividing the people of Malaysia. And it is so because the largest political organization in this country, namely UMNO, lives and swears by it for their very survival. Without Malay supremacy UMNO is dead meat. UMNO’s Ideology?

Now it cannot get clearer than that can it? UMNO believes in the supremacy of the Malay race. And if Pakatan Rakyat or any of you believe all this talk about 1Malaysia and Malaysia being for the other races too …then you are all in denial!

Maybe one day in the distant future racism will be an ugly phase in our nation’s history. Maybe twenty years from now  an enlighten government will be in Putrajaya and documents will show UMNO’s complicity in the systematic and endemic importation of hundreds and thousands of Indonesians into Malaysia to bolster the electoral chances of UMNO!

A sober analysis of other government documents will also show that UMNO encouraged non-Malays to emigrate overseas in mistaken belief that they pose a threat to the Malays and also to diminish their numbers as against the Malays.

But that will be for future government to uncover - for now racism is real.

And the people at the wrong end of this ugliness are the non- Malays. What would damm UMNO is that at no time were these non-Malays ever a threat to national security of Malaysia and if a referendum were to be taken it would show that all this was done much against the wishes of the Malays themselves.

But the wishes of the people were overruled by the UMNO politicians who were motivated by racism and political opportunism – and led by Mahathir. By the time the mass immigration of Indonesians came into effect there really was no need to bolster UMNO’s political vote bank because UMNO already had the ability to do what it wants in Malaysia.

UMNO had the numbers  to enact, amend or dismiss any legislation it chooses. The NEP enacted after the May 13 riot effectively stifle any dissent from any quarters and entrenched the Malays as the Sons of the Soil – Bumiputra - empowering them with enough privileges in all things Malaysians to effectively ensure their dominance in Malaysia – so it seemed.

So this begs the question – why then did Mahathir went ahead with this plan to bolster the already overwhelming Malay numerical strength with further immigration not of skilled people, but of workers and labourers that brought  with them social problems and wreck havoc on the very fabric of the Malaysian society already in place?

First Mahathir found it necessary to bring in these immigrants to try and shore up Malay numbers in constituencies where non - Malays were already settled in numbers. For example there was a plan to increase the Malay numbers in Penang – and DSAI was fully aware of this from the very start.

Mahthir did so in spite of being in a coalition with political entities that represented ethnic groupings in these areas and fully knowing that the end game was to overwhelm even his coalition partners in the constituency they then controlled!

Mahathir saw these newly arrived immigrants as an insurance for UMNO’s future. To be used to UMNO’s advantage when the time warrant its usage. Meantime these immigrants were working at menial jobs, living in wretched condition. Eventually these Indonesian were dispersed into our society and in the process they brought with them what any unskilled workers and labourers would bring with them: stress into the local populace resulting in much unwanted social evils such as an increase in crimes etc. etc.

What UMNO has put at stake by this deliberate policy or encouraging racism is destroy the Malaysian tradition of shared commitment by all the races to live together in peace and harmony. At the zenith of Mahathir’s power our Malaysian society was becoming more racially and ethnically diverse, more polarized along racial lines and the other races were becoming more alarmed by Ketuanan Melayu. The Malays were artificially made to be more conscious of racial difference – that the Chinese were taking everything that by right belonged to the Malays – and as a result of all this, everyone became increasingly preoccupied with political representation over racial line in order to protect their own ethnic interest.

What should had happened over time is that the various divides of culture and racel should have become more porous or eventually even collapse as the population gravitate towards 1Malaysia. This did not happened.

What happen instead is that UMNO used race and religion to divide and rule between the Malays and the non-Malays. UMNO seized upon these differences and used them as ideological beachheads to police and contain the various races and limit opposition political discourses (through use of the ISA)

What dominated the political landscape was Ketuanan Melayu and the use of Islam for their own ends. PAS and UMNO were trying to outdo each other as being more Islamic then the other. When all else failed for UMNO in Kelantan and Trengganu UMNO stopped the flow of petrol ringgits into Kelantan and Trengganu. The fact that it was the Malays that suffered from these selective disbursement of the nations wealth was never something that mattered to UMNO.

And the result of all this is the Malaysia we have today. Race and religion defines political parties. Race and religion defines political policies and activities. Race and religion isolates Malays from the others and in places, Malays from Malays. So the irony of it all is that not only is racism alive and well between the races, but racism even divides the Malays.

And in the middle of all this is UMNO – the catalyst of this divide. It sees racism as the cure all for its problems  - not the elimination of racism it but the use racism to promote political divide amongst the people of Malaysia so that they will be that much easier to manipulate for UMNO’s advantage. That is why racism is alive and well – UMNO needs it to survive and prosper!

Is Malaysia a Racist Country

By Hussein Hamid

This entry was first posted on Thursday, 15 October 2009, 10:36 am in Lim Kit Siang's blog

Is Malaysia a racist Country?
YES455 (94%)
NO29 (5%)
Vote on this poll
Votes so far: 484
Days left to vote: 1
With one day to go the above is the result of the Poll we had recently on steadyaku47. Number of Votes cast: 484. Of this number an overwhelming 94% were adamant that Malaysia is a racist country! Why do they think so?
Are the people racist towards each other? NO! Are the Malays treating the Chinese as second class citizens? NO! Are the Chinese preventing the Malays from going into their shops because they are Malays? NO. Are the Indians being prevented from riding in Public Transport because they are Indians? NO! We are free to go anywhere we like, do anything we want and between the races we are equal.
Malaysia is a racist country because of the policies of its Government whose Prime Minister ironically claims that its 1Malaysia is bringing the people together!
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the 1Malaysia concept is nothing unusual as it is a continuation of the concepts to strengthen solidarity among the people which had been introduced by past leaders.?
Najib said that as a multi-racial and multi-religious country, the concept of solidarity certainly could not be ignored or treated lightly because it could pose a problem and destroy the inter-racial ties that had been nurtured all this while. “My predecessors had emphasised on national solidarity as one of the main pillars that would ensure Malaysia’s success and survival,” he said.
Amazing. If our Prime Minister and the Prime Ministers that came before him have all emphasized national solidarity as one of the main pillars to ensure Malaysia’s success and survival – then why did 94% of the 484 people that participated in this poll is of the opinion that Malaysia is a Racist country?
Here again I think our leaders need too be clear on what they perceived is the situation and what really is the situation. Yes we hear our Prime Minister talk up national solidarity many times but as the Malays say “cakap bukan serupa bikin”. In all seriousness Najib’s recent pronouncement “Umno for all” brought more laughter then a feeling of hope for better things to come in the future.
This is the sad thing about our country. Whereas in other countries the government would have to legislate to ensure that there is racial equality this is not the case in Malaysia. Here it is the government that is quietly or covertly putting into practice policies and practices that discriminate and place those who are not Malays and who are in the minority at a disadvantage – in education, in seeking employment, in business – in all things Malaysians. And it is the people that is taking the lead to learn to live with each other in spite of these polices and practices by the government of the Barisan Nasional. What a sad commentary of the realities that exists in our country. We know it so and yet we have Najib declaring our national solidarity through 1Malaysia to a Global audience. When will he ever learn? When will he ever learn?
Just think what this country would be like if we the people did not take it upon ourselves to live with each other in harmony and goodwill? If we all did not understand that whatever racial problems we had was not of our doing but that of our government? If the Chinese, Indians and others were not able to accept that the Malays are in their ‘privilege’ position in Malaysia not because they asked to be so but because our government deem it fit to divide and rule and create a racial divide for their own vested interest. It hurts me so much when I think of this…this unnecessary racial divide that is artificially imposed upon us all by UMNO. Enough of this. We wait for the next GE to do what we must so that we can all live together as one!

Before you see the following video I would like to set this into your head...actually into the head of that Ibrahim son of Ali and into the head of any racist idiot out there in BOLEHLAND : THINK : Do you think that when this "War General" call Ibrahim son of Ali struts around like Mussolini damming the Chinese to "stock up on food" because "anything can happen"...the Chinese are scared shitless? Do you think the Chinese are fearing for their life? Do you think the non-Malays are falling down on their knees begging for mercy from this short, stoogy, stumpy self-proclaimed "war general" call Ibrahim son of Ali? This idiot must live in cuckoo land! Now go and see the video below and by the end of it you will know how those non-Malays feel when they are treated as second class citizens and without the respect due to them as Rakyats of Malaysia! They will feel the same way as that Black Man feel when treated by that White Girl!
