Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. Max Ehrmann (1872 – 1945)
Since 16th July 2009 when my first article :
Posted by Kit in Hussein Hamid, Pakatan Rakyat on July 16th, 2009
was posted in Lim Kit Siang’s blog the number of people looking at my profile in my blog steadyaku47 has increased. To date there have been about 14 articles written by me that has been published by Kit Siang with an average of about 20 comments per article. Some of these articles have also been published in Malaysia Today, Malaysian Insider, Anwar’s Ibrahim’s blog and a number of other blogs.
I am grateful that these people consider the articles I write worthy of being shared with others. I have not gone out of my way to tell people that I have a blog – shy lah ! – in fact only my classmates from Kolet are aware of it – and that to it was because Zaharan and the late blogger The Ancient Mariner, Captain Yusof (a dear friend and classmate) told them about it. Even the articles I wrote are signed off as Hussein Hamid.
It is only lately that I have been using the steadyaku47 sign off because it eventually dawned upon me that if I do not tell people that Hussein Hamid and steadyaku47 is the same person – how will I ever get people to go to my blog. But I am sure most of you simply google my name and got to my blog that way.
For those that have done so I want to say thank you for taking the trouble to visit my site. I think I googled myself more then any of you just to see my name there – cheap thrill lah!
I write because I have something to say. Something that I want to convey to a wider audience. So you will all understand my satisfaction at knowing that people are reading what I write.
But there is also another reason why I write. To me writing down something that I want to say is not enough.
I would like to know who you are, who are you as a person, why you read what I write? What do you think about it? Are there things you disagree with? Are there things you agree with? I get comment from readers who access my writing not from steadyaku47 but from other blogs on the net.
Very rarely do I get comments on my own site. If it is at all possible I do not want our contact to end after you have finished reading the last article that I write – like two ships passing in the night. Think of what we can do if we get to know each other. I have never had this many people interested in what I do. Today I had just over 5000 hits on my site. What can I say but ‘thank you’.
Can we start some sort of a situation where we can post a little about ourselves and see if we are able to build a community that talk to each other through the net - share our life experiences? Just for starters I live in Australia – in Adelaide. Anything you would like to find out about Adelaide or Australia – I could possibly assist.
Let me share something with you. My writing process. Sometimes I will be thinking about an idea constantly before I can process it in my mind and put it down on paper. But I do my best writing when my attention is triggered by a phrase or a sentence that jumps out at me when I am reading or watching the TV.
Then from that single phrase I can write a story or convey what is in my head to others. Everything that I write will first be posted on my own steadyaku47 and then only will I send it to others. To those that have visited my blog – thank you. Thank you very much.
I came to your blog via Malaysia Today. I like your style and flow of writing. GOD bless you and your family.

Dear sir,
ReplyDeleteI read your writings and I thank God for a gentleman like you, with a clear sharp mind, a kind heart, and a robust conscience. And thanks to the internet, no matter where we live or come from, we can connect and share our thoughts and, in some small way, help make the world a better place for all! God bless you and help you keep on writing well.
