Witness the contrast between China & Pakistan.
At a
time of great tragedy and suffering by their people, both were devastated by
disastrous flooding, landslides, massive destruction and great loss of lives.
The Chinese
responded by mobilising their own resources, thousand of their Armed Forces, Police and volunteers systematically tackled the problems.
You see Chinese all
over the country giving donations in all forms - cash and kind. The Chinese
leaders were at the site of tragedy within 24 hours.
In Pakistan, the
President was enjoying his holiday trip to London. He has yet to make his
first visit to the scene of tragedy.
In Pakistan we
see long lines of the affected and the refugees, dressed in their long robes,
blaming the government for
not coming to help them. And so they just sit down and wait and wait and they
are absolutely incapable of organizing themselves to help themselves - because
the suffering that befall them is God's will- Inshaallah!
China has not
asked for a single cent from other countries nor seek assistance from any international organizations.
The United Nations is
seeking US$460 million for Pakistan.
The Talibans
said it would give Pakistan $20 million if it rejects aids from the western
infidels!
The US pledged
$50 million & Australia 9 million.
And the Arab countries?
· Kuwait pledged
$5 million.
· Turkey $0.28
million.
· UAE $0.028
million which is less than the cost of a toy for an Arab Sheik!
The rich Arabs
have oil and cash to drown themselves in but none to spare to help their fellow
Muslims!
In every tragedy, it is
always the western infidels and wealthy Asian nations who respond to the
sufferings of the Muslims!
Where is all the
love and brotherhood that Muslims preach in their holy Koran?
Each day we hear
them pray so loud and clear but how many reach out to their pockets to
give something to the suffering Muslims brothers?
The wonders & greatness of Islam & Muslims still remain a great mystery to me!
Correction Sir It's not Islam, it's the Muslims
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
ReplyDeleteHussein,
ReplyDeleteFunny its the same in Malaysia. The muslim malays has a very bad habit of not responding to such aid or help or to learn what charity means.I speak from real life situation. Its always the same old stories that the Government must do this charity!
If ever that was one , it will be a great show like the aid for Gaza scenerios!Sad is'nt ? We are not fearful of Islam as its a great religion but its the selfish muslims that tarnish it!
Did someonr said ' I love Islam BUT I despise Muslims '
ReplyDeleteI expect great things from our nation's
ReplyDeletefirst lady. Alas she was too busy going around the world on gomen service
But for he tight schedule, I suspect she would have done something for the
pakistanis. She was hailed as as-
our lady of sweet charity
hopefully she would have time after the first ladies conference to initiate a donation drive for the unfortunate pakistanis
one cry of help from our first lady will bring in millions from chingkie vingkie, chingkie ytl and the kedekut
sri lankan ananda
so be patient and wait for our sweet lady of charity to start the ball rollin....
khong khek khuat
I notice that muslims and even other believers of religion are ever ready to defend their so called sacredness of their respective religion whenever their religion is attacked due to their poor testimonial and showing in real life situation and living. In other words they have fail to live up to the teaching and expectation of their religion. They are failures and they represent the image of their religion.
ReplyDeleteSo my point is what is the point to defend and protect the image and sacredness of your religion when you as a believer can't live up to the greatness of your religion. Do you do justice to be called the believers. What good is that in a religion if it can't bring about good and practical values in the life of its believers.
It has been a cliche to say 'not the fault of religion but us' In my opinion I would rather be an apostate than to tarnish my so called great religion if I am not prepare to do its bidding and exhortation. Lastly, religion does not exist in a vacuum, it has to be lived and shown tangibly in the lives of followers. It is very hollow and meaningless to shout slogans and declare greatness when nothing much can be shout or proud in the lives of its believers.
I think is not to much to say that there is nothing great about a religion if it can only produce mediocre believers. Why the infidels which do not shout greatness of their religion can do better in real life situation. The good and great of a religion must be seen and measurable in reality. It makes no sense to glorify and declare greatness in a religion when in reality what is shown is the opposite.
In other word, next time if someone wants to shout or declare greatness in their religion, think twice lest you be a laughing stock to the world.
