Bersih to seek audience with King, willing to cancel rally
July 04, 2011
PETALING JAYA, July 4 — In an unexpected turn of events today, Bersih 2.0 pledged to abide by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s advice, saying it will seek an audience with him before Saturday and call off the rally if told to do so.

Why should Bersih 2.0 call off its rally?
Why ?
Why?
Why?
Najib has said that the rally can be held in a Stadium. If one Stadium is not large enough then negotiate the use of other stadiums across the nation at the same time on the same day with State Bersih organizers or other supportive NGO's taking responsibility for ensuring that these rally are done peacefully and in an orderly manner. Too much has been done and too many people are waiting to demonstrate their wish for a clean and fair election - and now that Najib has said "YES" - though a qualified "YES" - it is the responsibility of Bersih's steering committee to make it happen within the constrains suggested by Najib - and to me what Najib has asked is fair.
Our king has not asked Bersih to call of its Rally but to ensure that the rally will not cause riot and mayhem.
The Rally must go on within the parameters set by Najib. Our King has said that it should be so. Our Prime Minister has said that it should do so and most critical, our people want it to be so!
oh oh.. what now? The minister who should have stayed home declared bersih illegal. That means unlawful anywhere, in the streets or stadium, in the toilet or the living room. Again the Pee Emm goofed by his offer. Or is that the way how he overrules his cousin on the legality of bersih's existence?
ReplyDeletePee Emm must categorically declare that he upholds the constitution and allow freedom of association and expression
Pee Emm must say his cousin has therefore been overrule
Pee Emm pleads with Bersih to have the rally indoors and ensure full police protection for the participants from sycophants who are hellbent on creating disturbance no matter where the rally is held.
like last time u held in it the stadium it'll b like a carnival atmosphere. The police will then erect road blocks along the way n the next day the MSM will have a field day with a byline 'bersih kosong'
