When Izzy, our grand daughter, was a few
months old, her mother’s way of getting her to be still and stay quite was to
tell Izzy to “CHILL” – with appropriate hand gestures (one finger salute done
the polite way!) and that stern look that only lasts for as long as Izzy did
not smile! It worked for about five seconds and then she cracks up her mother
with that angelic smile of hers!
I think, like Izzy, we all need to “CHILL”.
NOW!
Too many things flying around our airspace
that it is getting hard to draw oxygen into our lungs. Without oxygen we die!
I read, five minutes ago about Haris
Ibrahim resignation as MCLM President. As I have said in my posting to him, I
have still to understand in full, his reason for doing so – but more important
this Haris Ibrahim is someone whose commitment and focus to a noble cause is
unparalleled! I do not know Haris and I might have crossed swords with him way
back over a comment he made about Anwar – but since then I have only had
admiration for the work he does.
I am sure unlike the Police, Haris did not
make this decision ‘in the heat of the moment’ but for now let it go with the flow and see how it will pan out. I do not
intend to say anything that will aggravate or negate the situation any more
then it has already is. Brother Haris chill!
Just as the ascendancy of our commitment to
ABU is beginning to peak we are again side swiped by the happenings of these
last few days. I would like to remind our friends that in our fight against
UMNO and Barisan Nasional sacrifices and pain are inevitable. But suffering is
optional. We must not allow ourselves to be overcome by these problems because
God will not give us anything we cannot handle. It will be a struggle.
Bad is never good
until worse happens.

And worse has not
happen to us just yet. The 13th general election is not over yet. We
have a fight on our hand. You must remember that we chose this path – nobody
forced us to do so. So for now let us go onwards.
ABU! ABU! ABU!
This is what I was hinting at pak Hussein about being overly critical. RPK, you and those who knew Anwar 'embraced' his charisma in the early stages and as time went on, inevitably his faults would surface and these you cannot accept. Let him be. Don't judge his every action, his weaknesses so much so you overlook that side of him which can contribute to the greater good. RPK fell into his own trap of trying to make anwar perfect by being the bad cop.
