Hata Wahari has been with Utusan Malaysia for 16 years! Enam Belas Tahun!
and your words today about DAP:
"“DAP is the party that is slandered the most by mainstream media, particularly Utusan. I need to defend DAP that it is not a racist party but a party that supports Malaysia as a whole".
Tell me Hata Wahari why you think PKR is unable to do the same? From what you now do, are you inferring that PKR is a tool to promote the vested interest of individuals? That it is a racist party and that PKR does not support Malaysia as a whole?
If it is then would it not be more reason for you to be with PKR and make those changes from within then to be with DAP?
It is not for me to try and fathom what lies within the depths of your mind but this I know. We who are for ABU are the better to have you within our ranks. Go with DAP and do what you must but those in PKR must ask themselves this.
Why does PKR, when they already have Hata Wahari within their midst, as they had Zaid Ibrahim within their midst....why does PKR let these people go? Or more to the point why did PKR do to cause them to leave PKR?
Why?
In January 2011 Utusan Malaysia (aka News without Truth!) suspended
Hata Wahari alleging that Hata
Wahari had brought the newspaper into disrepute and insulted its management.
How anybody could drag Utusan Malaysia deeper into the abyss it is already in is debatable, but you cannot fault the management of Utusan Malaysia for
not trying! Committing Hari Kiri seems to be about the only noble thing left for Utusan Malaysia's management to do given their inability to do anything else that could advance the noble profession of journalism - especially their own!
Fast forward January 2012: Hata Wahari
joins DAP!
It is one thing to have politicians 'follow their conscience and jump political ship from time to time but another to have a senior journalist from a main stream media beholden to UMNO do the same thing. That he was also then President of the National Union of Journalist simply compounds what UMNO did! In this context UMNO is the United Malay National Organization and also Utusan Malaysia No Otak! All the signs of a failed MSM is there for all to see.
That Hata Wahari would be in the ranks of Pakatan Rakyat is a given - it was simply a matter of where he would park himself with.
In March 2011 Nurrul made the following announcement:
PUTRAJAYA, March 4 — National Union of Journalists (NUJ) president Hata Wahari will be the chief editor of a weekly newspaper, Utusan Rakyat, when it obtains a publishing permit, said Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar today.
“It’s an organ for the masses. We’re really in dire need for a mainstream media that will report as objectively, professional and ethical as possible,” she added.
In March 2011 Nurrul made the following announcement:
UPDATED @ 02:35:30 PM 04-03-2011
March 04, 2011
The PKR MP stressed that Utusan Rakyat was not a party organ, but a “bi-partisan” newspaper with representatives from both Pakatan Rakyat (PR), Barisan Nasional (BN) and NGOs invited on its editorial advisory board.
“Its raison d’etre is not just to attack BN,” Nurul Izzah told reporters today.
Since then Hata Wahari and PKR - well Nurrul specifically - have earned each other's respect through the work they do.
You chose to be with DAP when you know that Nurrul have need of your experience and wisdom as a senior journalist to advise and guide her in her aspirations to change the political mire we are now in?
No, Hata I am not faulting you for your choice of DAP because I am sure that it was a decision not made hastily but made after much thought and deliberation. But I still want to know why?
What is it that is within PKR now that caused you to abandon Nurrul?
Did what was done by those within PKR to Zaid Ibrahim continue to haunt you as it haunts all of us?
Are the divisions within PKR now wider despite or in spite of Anwar's acquittal?
Are you another rat leaving a sinking ship? ...and Mr Hata I use the term 'rat' very loosely with reference to you. If I could I would use the term 'an experience and respected journo' but when you talk about PKR and sinking ships...'rat' seems to be more appropriate! Maaf brother!
So pray tell me Hata why you chose
to be with DAP and not PKR?

We know that Utusan Malaysia deserved to lose you. Why PKR now? I remember your words about what Utusan Malaysia was not able to do of itself:
"“to return to their true function as deliverers of objective information to the public, and not be tools of propaganda for the government, or any political party or individual, for their personal gain.”

Why are you prodding Hata to say things negative about PKR Hussein? Hata wants to join DAP which is a member of Pakatan, so be it. He is a party member of Pakatan coalition and you still habour the thought of Hata saying bad things towards PKR which will then satisfy you. Why did'nt Hata joined PAS? Why did'nt Hata joined KITA? Why did'nt he joined AMANAH? Why don't you asked these questions?? or perhaps you will be more at ease if Hata joins UMNO or PERKASA. Join DAP pun kena taruk, join PKR pun kena taruk, susah sangat join Hussein saja la..
ReplyDeleteI don't blame Hussein, I blame PKR for being not good enough for Hata.
ReplyDeleteMany leaders in PKR were from UMNO - they still have the UMNO genetic make-up, UMNO mindset and UMNO modus operandi ingrained in them, the only difference is the name of the party.
ReplyDeleteGE13 is Rakyat vs thieves and pirates - ABU!ABU!ABU!and nothing else - PKR needs to know that.
They make good speeches and have great oratory skills; that is about all they do. The days of good speeches only are over, the informed rakyat wants to see them walk the talk.
PKR is the weakest link in Pakatan; they have to rid the party of self-serving leaders.
There are some good leaders in PKR but the general impression is that there are many self-serving ex-UMNO ones who ride on the informed rakyat's sentiment.
I have been following your blog and I also agree with you on your recent take on Raja Petra.
This is our common cry ABU!ABU!ABU!
Is it matter not if he join DAP,PKR, or PAS...the main purpose is to rid of the bloody corrupt BN goon...as long as it is for ABU........as for PKR,I think they have heard enough how worried the voters are about the umno culture in their rank and file,so to anwar, azmin,Izah, tian chia, zuraida and the rest....keep in mind that if that culture is still being being revered,PKR is not wanted.....they can go fly kite with umno.
ReplyDelete' We' are only interested in the real issues that needs to be addressed not the 'Them and Us' analysis. So please do focus on educating us on solutions and strategies to win the 13GE...take us away from the 'kedai kopi'.please!
ReplyDeleteApalah ni.. Talking like RPK of 2011.
ReplyDeleteMost likely he joined DAP with Nurul's/PKR's knowledge because they need to stop UMNO using DAP as a punching bag among Malays by calling them chinese chauvinists, etc.
Also, DAP is a better choice for someone not experienced in politics. Not to mention that a capable Malay would definitely get some post in DAP compared to PKR/PAS.
HATTA- WELCOME TO THE POLITICAL WORLD OF MALAYSIA. bn umno WILL BE THERE TO FIX YOU- BEWARE LAH
ReplyDeleteAs long as Hatta is in the ABU Revolution, it is OK by me. Moreover, I always want DAP to be more "colorful", that's it!
ReplyDeleteIt is intresting post
ReplyDeleteWhy not DAP, HH?
ReplyDeleteDAP and PKR, there is no comparison lah! Yes we saw what happened to Zaid, how they ganged up against him, read their MC.
Bro Hussein. You have got good points. For some reason, as a conservative Malay, I start to feel more comfortable with DAP rather than PKR. PAS? Unless you know how to start a speech with ussali wassali wassala.. then forget it, you can support them but is hard to join them. PKR, with Azmin factions at helm, this party is un-approachable, likes an exclusive gentlemen club.
ReplyDeletedap NEEDS malays to contest in GE13 ma !
ReplyDeleteWhy not DAP if Hata believes in its policies? His joining DAP despite having good working relationship with PKR shows he is man of principle, not to be swayed by emotions and opinions. My only concern is Trojan horse.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, DAP though led by Chinese, is the one and two most principled political parties in Malaysia the other being PAS. Being a secular Hatta, DAP is the right choice and should be lauded for doing so.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope the recent heavy migration traffic into DAP is sincere and not work of trojan horses. For country and people, we have no other choice except ABU! Enough is Enough.
ReplyDeleteI think Hata chose the right party to join. DAP is the strongest link. DAP is democratic. DAP is multi-cultural. DAP is big, strong and friendly.
ReplyDeleteTell me, which party do BN fear most? Which party is the most united?
Which party has the least frogs?
Hata is not stupid. Brilliant move, mate!
And in DAP, Hata brings along the next echelon of leaders who are young, vibrant and far-sighted. Hata could well be the Malay LGE and with proper coaching, a MB to boot.
With his inside knowledge of Utusan, Hata will nullify BN's mouthpiece, paving the way for the downfall of the despotic government.
Hata, you make my day!
If you don't like PKR, just keep it to yourself because PKR and your party, DAP are in the same boat. You may spoil the unity in PR. UMNO certainly likes you for such excoriation against PKR.
ReplyDeletekalaupun tak suka pada Anwar atau PKR, saudara kenalah ingat PR. Cara saudara menulis kali ini seolah-olah saudara hanya berjuang untuk DAP dan bukannya PR. Walaupun saudara memang bebas menulis tetapi matalamat perjuangan mestilah diutamakan.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! ..sounds so familiar. Tak suka pun diam sahaja lah, ikut juga?!! Spring cleaning long overdue!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, PKR smells too much like UMNO.
ReplyDeleteI still don't like Azmin Ali, just as I don't like Hassan Ali. Oh Ali, why do you have sons like them?
Bro semua persoalan ada dijawab di dalam temuramah ini di mobtv.my http://www.mobtv.my/talkshow-729.html
ReplyDeletehata wahari
ahli biasa DAP
Dream on Nurrul. PAS and DAP were only given permission to sell thier so-called newspaper to their members only. Is that what this new paper also wants?
ReplyDeletePKR is just mirror image of dumno.. He did the right thing by joining DAP which has been fighting for bangsa Malaysia way before PKR was pkr, kita amanah and what nots were born. Its is also good for DAP as people will realise all this while they were a multi race party. Just because most of its members are chinese they are labeled a chinese party and hata joining them hopefully will change the mindset of all malaysian....
ReplyDeleteAll the best Bro....
WHY NOT PKR JUST DISBAND AND JOIN DAP LIKE HATA, SAKMONGKOL AND ASPAN??? BOTH PARTIES SAY THEY STAND FOR SAME THING, AND ALSO BOTH ARE MULTI-RACIAL - SO JUST MAKE ONE BIG STRONG DAPKR!!! UNLESS OF COURSE ACTUALLY THEY CANNOT COMBINE BECAUSE EVERYBODY IS REALLY CRAZY FOR THEIR PARTY POSITION - AH, PAKATAN ACTUALLY NO DIFFERENCE LAH FROM BN!
ReplyDeleteI guess at the end of the day all politicians are the same.... BN or PR, just reflections of each other. Full of rhetoric and bs.
mind your own biz. everyone has a reason. dont think you are the only one with the correct reason. silly.
ReplyDeleteperhaps it's to prove that DAP is truly multiracial and Chinese only
ReplyDeleteWhy not... what is your problem?.. pointless argument.. political party choice is like religion.. and also like the position you had with you wife last night... none of you effing business...
ReplyDelete
