PUTRAJAYA: Spouses and family members of Cabinet Ministers will soon be required to declare their assets to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to ensure integrity in the administration of the government.
MACC advisory panel chairman Puan Sri Zaitun Zawiyah Puteh told reporters at the MACC headquarters here on Wednesday that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had agreed in principle to this and hoped it would be implemented soon.
"Spouses and family members of those in the Federal administration will also be required to do the same.
"The family members will have to declare all their assets via a statutory declaration to make it easier for MACC to launch any investigations when needed,” she added.
Currently, Cabinet Ministers only have to declare their assets to the Prime Minister's Office annually, but the declarations are not made public.
Definitely laughable unless and until they make it available to the public hehehehe hahahahaha hohohoho.
ReplyDeletePak Tua
You want to declare it to the PM or the MACC does not make any difference.
ReplyDeleteBoth are untrustworthy !!
Don't be fooled. This is a civil service department, just like th EC. They can make all sort sof grand statements, but are not a policy-making political body. They can only follow policy set for them and, at most, propose regulations.
ReplyDeleteAnd so the clown Nazri open his mouth again.... betul taik kuching Pak Hamid.
ReplyDeleteThe declaration of assets on the back of the ballot paper is an idea whose time has come. Declaration to the PM has not worked. Declaration to the Heads of Depatrments and the KSN has not produced the desired results. So for a start let the people decide. After that the others will follow the leaders.
