Actually the current rot in the Civil Service is only at the top level.
At the mid level that is say at at the state level, there are many good
Malay civil servants who goes about doing the job quietly &
efficiently. The counter people at the various government departments
today Mr. Hussein is different from the 1970s & 1980s, they are not
rude compared to the civil servants of that era. There was blatant
racism because raw political power of UMNO & the civil service
was out to put the non Malays especially the Chinese in their place
as IMMIGRANT OR PENDATANG. What ever the Malay political
& economic power touches turn to gold for Malay people.
NOT SO TODAY YOU HAVE TO FIGHT FOR INVESTMENTS FROM
MULTI NATIONAL COMPANIES.
There was only 7 million Malay people to share with & there plenty
of money to share . But today there 16 million Malay Muslim to share
with. There is a lot of constitutional Malays where if you are Muslim
you are classified as BUMIPUTRA. Malay or Indian Muslim prime
minister like Dr. Mahathir do not realize that by making them citizens
you are dividing the cake by more people. I DO NOT KNOW WHETHER
IT IS TRUE OR NOT, WHEN THE CIVIL SERVICE WANTED TO RECRUIT
10,000 MORE PEOPLE FOR THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS, 800,000
MALAY MUSLIMS APPLIED & MANY THEM OF THE ARE GRADUATES.
I HOPE THAT THE POLITICAL MASTERS DO NO USE THE CIVIL
SERVICE TO DESTROY COMPLETELY THIS NATION BECAUSE THIS
ACTUALLY IS WHAT THE MALAY PEOPLE HAVE IN TERMS OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES & THEIR FUTURE PROGRESS IN MALAYSIA OTHERWISE THEY WILL BECOME FOREIGN WORKERS OVERSEAS WORKING AS MAIDS & LABOURERES.
