Cilla Black - You're My World

One of the best recordings to come out of the British Rock Invasion of 1964 was Cilla Black's "You're My World. " Originally written in Italian, it was was translated into English by the noted American lyricist, Carl Sigman. "You're My World," recorded on the Parlophone label, reached number 1 in Britain and number 26 in the United States in 1964. Cilla Black (Priscilla White) was a cloakroom attendant at the Cavern Club in Liverpool when she was discovered by John Lennon. She went on to become one of the most successful female performers in the UK.
