Four years ago today, Tiger Woods' world came crashing in, when news of his salacious affairs were exposed.
Since November 2009, more details have emerged of the fateful night which led to Tiger Woods' splitting with wife, Elin Nordegren.
On November 24, 2009, according to sources of the Daily Beast Nordegren had a phone conversation with Woods' rumoured mistress Rachel Uchitel before The Enquirer broke the first news of the scandal the next day.
Following a 30-minute discussion, the New York based club hostess denied affair rumours. But Nordegren was not convinced. Later that day she took Woods' phone without his knowledge to check his call log, only to find another name she did not recognise - Jaimee Grubbs.
Nordegren rang the number and left a voicemail message.
"You know who this is, because you are f***ing my husband," Nordegren reportedly said.
When Woods noticed the call, he went into damage control mode and left a voicemail message of his own.
"Hey, it's, it's Tiger," he said.
"Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that.
"And, um...just have it as a number on the voicemail. Okay? You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right, bye."
The Enquirer story finally broke claiming Uchitel was bragging to friends about her affair with Woods and that he would be getting a divorce.
On Thanksgiving night, the whole scandal was brought to a head.
Nordegren took Woods' phone again after he had taken a sleeping tablet. She found a text to Uchitel that read, "You are the only one I've ever loved."
At 1am that night, Nordegren then texted Uchitel from Woods' phone.
"I miss you, when are we seeing each other again?" Nordegren texted.
Uchitel replied to the text, perplexed at the hour she was being contacted.
Nordegren rang Uchitel and confronted her about the affair, but she hung up.
Woods was woken by an upset Nordegren and locked himself in their bathroom. When he emerged, Nordegren spotted 'divorce' in texts to Uchitel and threw the device at him, chipping his tooth, beore grabbing a golf club and chasing him out of the house.
"You've ruined our thanksgiving!" Woods was heard yelling.
"Are you happy now?"
Woods drove away in his SUV but smashed into a tree and was knocked unconscious.
Police came to the property and an ambulance was called for Woods, who was bloodied after the accident. Nordegren was denied travelling with Woods to the hospital, with police suspecting a domestic violence dispute.
Woods was later fined $164 for careless driving.
Over the coming days details of Woods' trysts emerged. Rachel Uchitel, Jaimee Grubbs, Mindy Lawton, Holly Sampson, Joslyn James, and Cori Rist among others were listed in riveting accounts of Woods' infidelity.
Before December Woods was in a rehab facility for sex addiction. He lost major, million-dollar endorsement deals with Nike, Gatorade and a handful of other major brands, and announced an indefinite leave from professional golf.
Since returning, Woods has had a slow climb back to the top of the world rankings, but he is nowhere near the same golfer, and his earnings took quite a hit in the scandal. Woods and Nordegren are now divorced. He is currently seeing Lindsey Vonn.
