Nik Abduh: My father would have approved of working with Umno
KOTA BARU: The changed ways of Umno and Barisan Nasional now would have been one approved by the late Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, says PAS youth chief. Nik Mohd Abduh Nik Aziz (pic), while delivering his closing speech at the PAS youth wing Muktamar claimed that the government which used to be aggressive has changed its ways to become more peaceful and harmonious.
The son of the late PAS chief and Kelantan Mentri Besar maintained that his father would have approved of it as he was one to encourage peaceful politics.
"My father used to say, don't accept Umno or their ways, but that is not what we tell them (Umno) now. Instead we let them know of our fight since 1951.
"We tell them to fight us in the political arena peacefully and then let the Rakyat choose for themselves what they feel is best for them," he said.
Nik Abduh added that the changed ways of Umno and Barisan would also garner more support from the Rakyat.
"They have changed their strategy and become more peaceful. No more arrests, except for the some we know," he said adding that PAS had always had to fight their way in the political arena.
The Pasir Mas MP said Nik Abdul Aziz had fought for over 30 years as Mentri Besar and started seeing a change towards the end of his regime.
"We must understand that the young today can only be won over with good debates and truth. No lies. They want leaders with integrity,"'he said.
He pointed out that there were many Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) members who used Nik Aziz's name for their own benefit.
"He is a father to all, not just my siblings and I but be careful and don't speak of things he would never do while he was alive, otherwise you would have greatly sinned," he added.

I am not privy to the private moments that the late TGNA had had with his son Nik Mohd Abduh. I would rather leave the dead to lie in peace....if there is anything to be said of the dead, let it be only about the good that they have done of forever hold your toungue!
Yesterday his son is telling us that "The changed ways of Umno and Barisan Nasional now would have been one approved by the late Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat." ...and what are these changed ways that TGNA would have approved of Abduh? What?
Where are the leaders with integrity in Umno? Where are the leaders of integrity in PAS? Since the passing away of TGNA PAS have lost some 200,000 members! Since the passing of TGNA PAS has taken itself out of their coalition with PKR and DAP...a coalition that TGNA have worked hard with Anwar and Kit Siang to put together.

And what of the PAS that you have today?
Today we have the son of TGNA telling us that his father would approve of the Umno of today! Huh.
Abduh go spend a few minutes by your father's grave and take a few moments to reflect on whether your late father will or will not approve what you have just said about the "new" Umno. Do not put words into the mouth of the dead...especially if the dead is your own father...for your own political gains. How much lower will we Malays allow our own to sink to in the name of political gains?
The dead cannot cannot speak but from what I read about TGNA and from what I hear him say in the above video...I know he will not want any one to say that he has ever forgiven Umno for what they have done to PAS in the past.
Abduh if you want to do politics, do it without sullying the good name of TGNA......who happens to be your own father! We have already seen what Najib has done to the name of his own father and family....not that they have much to uphold given what we have come to know about Tun Razak since Najib Razak became the most despised and corrupt queen control prime minister that our nation has ever known. TGNA is a better man than Tun Razak.
Leave TGNA in peace...that tired old man has done more that his share to make this earth a better place.
