PETALING JAYA: Attorney-General Mohamed Apandi Ali will
head the list of award recipients in conjunction with the official
birthday of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah
today.
He is the sole recipient of the Panglima Mangku Negara (PMN), which carries the title “Tan Sri”.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Bar has passed a motion calling for Mohamed Apandi Ali to resign from his post as Attorney-General.
The motion was passed during the Bar's annual general assembly which saw some 1,400 plus lawyers attend.
The Star was able to confirm with several lawyers who attended the
assembly, who said the motion was passed with minimal objection.
Three lawyers – Charles Hector, Francis Pereira and Shanmugam Ramasamy –
had proposed the motion to debate the call for Apandi to resign.
steadyaku47 comment: In the above two conflicting headline we see a man held in contempt by his peers, awarded the highest award by his employee (the Government of Malaysia) in the Kings Birthday honours list. This is the depths to which our nation has now sunked to. An Attorney General bereft of any moral or ethical consideration obediently following in the footstep of the "cari makan" PAC Chairman.....and once again confirming the truth of that odious maxim in this corrupt BN government that "He who pays the piper calls the tune".
Enough said!
