cakap cakap....Trump for President? Malaysia camna? Siapa PM tahun depan?

The Republican Party formally nominated Donald Trump for president of the United States, capping a roller-coaster campaign that saw the billionaire tycoon defeat 16 White House rivals.
"It's my honor to be able to throw Donald Trump over the top in the delegation count tonight," the candidate's son Donald Trump Jr told delegates at the Republican National Convention which erupted in cheers and applause.
Trump -- who was expected to address the gathering in Cleveland by video link later Tuesday evening -- welcomed the party's nomination as an "honor."
"Such a great honor to be the Republican Nominee for President of the United States. I will work hard and never let you down! AMERICA FIRST!" he tweeted.

steadyaku47 comment : I was one of those doubters who was so sure that the American Republican Party would never ever nominate Donald Trump for President of the United states of America.  Why did I think so? Well why would the Republican Party nominate a former reality game show host as its nominee for President?

But they did and I was wrong. The reality is simply this : Donald Trump is their nominee  because there are many millions of people in the US of A that wants The Donald to be their president. Good luck to him....

Now...what does that say about Malaysians having Najib Razak as the prime minister? What does that say about BN being in government? What does that say about the bunch of monkeys we have in Parliament masquerading as the government of the day?

I am not going to try and answer those question now because I think we should all think deeply and rationally about who we want as out leaders and what political party we want  to be the government of the day. Yes there is corruption and yes there is a morbid sense of entitlement among those in public office that borders on thieving....but consider this:

The last Federal election was won by Barisan Nasional because the rules of the games now existing in Malaysia allows them to take victory and until we change those rules we have to live by them.

That RM2.6 billion of donation that found itself into Najib's personal bank account : Again by the rules of our nation....it is all legal. Do not quibble over the amount because other prime minister were also guilty of the same thing though of a much lesser amount...but as they say...you are either pregnant of you are not! You cannot be half pregnant.

As for 1MDB....time and time again for the past three decades we have seen the abuse and use of political power for personal gain...what isolate 1MDB from every thing else is the amount of money involved....again please refer to that "are you pregnant or not" argument in the previous instance.

Okay lah Najib has push it up a notch....but what worries me is that the people working to rid Umno and this nation of Najib are the same people who were complicit with Umno in making Umno, the government and many many Malaysians the way there are now.

So think my friends and ask yourself this : If we do not depend on the young to bring change to our nation.... then who? If we are all not Malaysians then what is to become of all of us?

There is always a risk when any nation depend on the dreams of just one race when there are many other races living within it. We need a responsible, coherent political system with a clear set of rules for every Malaysian if we are to once again be the nation we once were...before the days of Ketuanan Melayu, before the days of Jawi, Jakim and of course, before the days of donations in the billions and the excesses of 1MDB.

THINK....we sink or swim together.

There is a very real possibility that Donald Trump may be President of the US of A.....now who do we want as prime minister in the next general election less than two years away. Is Najib all that bad? THINK! Who are the alternatives we have to chose from...and in the final analysis....better the devil we know than the devil we don't? Saya tanya aja......!
