cakap cakap...early sunday morning.

This morning the first email I opened was from an old MCKK schoolmate –WAH – and as always when old friends write you know that the day will be good. There was also three from my daughter Terrina from Toronto and my favourite was her comment on my piece ‘IBU” “This was well written dad” So now I know it will be a good day!

Last night I lay awake for quite sometime consumed with my thoughts on why things are the way there are in our country. Irrelevantly my mind went back to the day when I saw the first images of Anwar with his infamous black eye – striding with defiance towards his day in court. There was anger and there was sadness in me that day. Anger at who ever that had done that to him. Anger that the authorities had not protected him from such harm (how was I to know then that it was the authorities that had done that to him!) And anger at what UMNO has done to one of its own. Then there was also much sadness that a friend was going through such pain and suffering and there was nothing I could do.

I pulled myself back from those memories and got back to the present….I was still awake and it was already past 2 am. A jumble of uncoordinated thoughts were in my mind…MACC, Teoh Beng Hock, Kugan, Din and the Cow Head debacle, PKFZ and now the latest statement from that Sultan about supporting Barisan…aisehman so many issues…….and then somehow peaceful sleep took over.

When I next opened my eyes it was 6.30am Sunday. Without hesitating I got up – had a shower and by 7am was at my PC with a cup of coffee ready to start my ‘work’ at steadyaku47. Normally I will have green tea but sleeping at 2am and waking up at 6.30am requires something stronger!  Then I know that all those thoughts that kept me awake last night were also the thoughts that gave me the enthusiasm, drive, commitment and focus to wake up each day and write for steadyaku47. ..…because there is much to be done if we are to make things right again for our country. So my friends this is not work...I love what I am doing and I just wish that you too will be able to do the things that you enjoy doing and be like me - able to wake up at 6.30 a.m on a Sunday morning because you have something you want to do, something you have to do and more important - something you enjoying doing. Have a nice weekend...or whatever is left of it.

  1. Well... it's down to Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah... the Last Honorable Man in Umno! Once he gets kicked out, the party will be a ship run by bickering rats and it will swiftly disintegrate on the reefs of petty self-interest. Then, and only then, this beloved land will be free of myopic and destructive govermin.

  2. It is a great tragedy that upright , intelligent, honest and honourable Malay like Encik Hussein, and many other like minded Malays are not in UMNO or in govt. Only crooks, lanuns, and morons got in instead !!

  3. Enck Hussein, I agree with totally. Mahashit destroyed everything that was good in MAlaysia.

If only we have honest and honourable leader like Lee Kuan Yew running Malaysia for the past 50 years, Malaysia will be a power house !!

Alas, this was not to be, we have Mahashit instead !

    God helps Malaysia !

  4. Yes. With all the happenings in the country, things can only get worst.

Maybe we should consider contracting out the management of the country to Spore instead! Pay them good management fee. Set all the policies and KPI's for them to implement. I think this country will start to change for the better in just 5 years without the involvement of the corrupt/greedy UMNO/BN politicians.

Even not endowed with natural resources, they are now far ahead of us economically.

    What say you?

  6. Steadyku,

Maybe you have found your true calling; to affect change through the pen.

BN & UMNO is rotten to the core. All its limbs are cancerous (MACC, PDRM, Judiciary, EC, Sultans). You can cut them off and there won't be anything left.

How many of our ministers can claim to be clean? Worst still, those who had admitted wrong doings (one-eyed Jasin), Istana Klang Zakaria, 3 million only Toyo Palace....the list is too long.

Your abang Lah did not take necessary reforms required. He asked us to work with him, not for him but after that he went to sleep. Incompetence is the key word.

Toyo is well educated. A dentist. So are many others but they have no qualms to take what is not theirs. I wonder what they ask from GOD during their 5 solats a day.

In summary we have leaders who are
    1. Not educated but empowered to rule
    2. Educated but morally corrupt
    3. Incompetence is not a flaw
    4. Bodek is a virtue
    5. Must subsribe to the Ketuanan Melayu concept to feed the Malays forever. Let others do the work

May you be blesses with good health.

  7. HH,

I like your writing skills. And you pen your thoughts so naturally that there is a frictionless flow in resonating your feelings so articulative that we are able to align our feelings in sync with yours.

In fact you have given so much inspiration for your readers to be constructively engaged in being political active, just to quote from RPK.

I forsee more blogsites will be initiated to become more politcally conscious - to cause for change in the political landscape of Malaysia.

    Syabas to you, brother.

The tenth time it is made good by looting A to satisfy B. In other words, government is broker in pillage, and every election is a sort of an advance auction of the sale of stolen goods."
