Better Beer Festival 2017 : The decisions of the IGP and the City Hall give impetus to the militant groups that they could have their way. They will conclude that they have won and they will not stop at this.

From my sifu, K SIla Dass.
THE MILITANTS RULE
The Inspector-General Of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun has advised the KL City Hall not to allow Better Beer Festival 2017 scheduled for early October. The City Hall had rejected the application for the event.
The IGP says that a militant group is planning to sabotage the event as it is against their struggle. It may be true that a militant group or groups are against the event and it is probable that sabotage could have been planned. It was for the police to neutralise the militants' ill-motivated conduct and not stop an enjoyable event.
The decision by the police and the City Hall to stop the beer festival is a clear signal that the authorities with all their powerful enforcement mechanism in place have surrendered their strength to mob rule.
Needless to remind the authorities that it is their responsibility to ensure that no one acts contrary to law. If the event is not acceptable to a group it does not mean that the whole country should surrender to the dictates of their thoughts and throw away the rights and dignity to which the citizens are entitled within the framework of law.
The decisions of the IGP and the City Hall give impetus to the militant groups that they could have their way. They will conclude that they have won and they will not stop at this.
Instead of taking the militants to task the IGP and City Hall had given in and if this attitude were to continue the consequences are not difficult to predict.
