Our Submarines...an accident waiting to happen?

XRMN has left a new comment on your post "berakhirnya riwayat KD Seri Inderapura - English t...":

Let's not dwell on the doomed ship. She is gone for good.

Now lets focus on the two 'altantuya' submarines that have just reached Malaysian waters.

My brother-in-law, a retired TLDM technical personnel who are now working around Lumut revealed a shocking and unbelievable 'jinx' that befell one of the submarines.

What good is a submarine if it could not submerge. That's what is happening now. The software controlling the 'ballast' tank are faulty. And it seems that our engineers are unable to rectify and have to S.O.S. France for assistance.

So, I told my brother-in-law that the sailors on board have to take additional life insurance in case in future, the 'altantuya curse' will prevent the submerged submarine from resurfacing.

Goodness, what an eerie feeling to be onboard such vessel.

Comment:
I have previously posted an article here that said that the Subs were an accident waiting to happen and yet we must pray that it will not because of the crew. According to the email above from a friend it seems that they are already having a problem. When I first read it my hair stood on end thinking of the crew. Let us pray that all will be well - but thinking of the RM500 million commission I am sure corners are cut to find the money - let us hope it does not compromise the safety of the crew!

  1. The doomed Inderapura is a bad omen, she's not gone for good, she's gone with a vengeance. Or maybe you want to make it more eerie by saying the curse of Altantuya has started with Inderapura before it falls onto the two Scorpenes. With that sign, with that warning, the crew will have to live with that fear to find the only relief is when they are relieved from being the crew of Scorpenes.

  3. Actually from the newspaper photograph I noticed certain parts of the French submarine rusting.

But many people did not notice one glaring missing item not delivered.

    The French Caps are missing!!!

You know la they were all used up!

  4. Did any crew of the Scorpene reported to have that eerie feeling like our local movie "Jangan pandang belakang."

Hehehe .... cheerup guys. Those Scorpene with controversies had been signed, sealed, and delivered.

If anything can be done is to ensure proper training and maintenance beside praying.

  5. Well well well....PM and gangs must take a ride in the new subs crisscrossing Malaysia EEZ and along the Straits of Malacca . Will PM take the challenge?
Now I heard they pushing through the Eurocopter deal and will sign quietly during LIMA despite all the unanswered issues raised during last Parliamentary session?
Why all these are happening in this country? Greed for commission and incompetent leaderships in the Malaysian Armed Forces.
    Buy ship fire eat
Buy airplane all shits not able to fly.... so buy buy buy and more commission and bye bye.....

  9. Anonymous,

One night, I made a song request to the lounge singer, a filipina, and she asked " and who is this making the request?" I said "just put it Anonymous". Then she went on announcing " Ladies and gentlemen...bla..bla..bla....... request from Anthony and Mus".

To the point, names of place with the word Batang - Batang Ai, Batang Kali, Batang Berjuntai and Batang Benar. Probably the Sabahan may want to add the name Batang to our submarine base there. What would it be? The answer - Batang Tenggelam Timbul.

  11. The sub was a self indulgent (shiok sendiri) piece of hardware.

Any country with a coastline will say its strategically important to have subs but realistically, we're not even a full fledge experienced blue water navy yet.

We have not even replaced all the old, smaller patrol boats with the new KD Kedah class NGPV. We still need up to 8 guided missile frigates (we only have the 2 KD Lekiu class frigates).

We just want the subs to show off to the world that BodohLand boleh. At the same time, politicians can make a quick buck. Lets pray that this expensive shiok sendiri doesnt end up costing the nation the lives of her sons.
