We have waited for that spark that would start Pakatan
Rakyat’s final and irresistible push towards Putrajaya right from the day that
Najib bubarkan Parliament.
It came today just after Friday prayers at the Masjid Besi in Putrajaya.
Today I watched truly amazing scenes as Tok Guru Nik
Aziz (TGNA) made his way out of the Masjib after performing his Friday prayers at that mosque. What I saw must have brought a chill to UMNO, to
Tengku Adnan – BN’s candidate for Putrajaya – and to Barisan Nasional. The last time I can recall seeing these kind of
adulation and reverence was for our Badminton Team when they won the Thomas Cup
from Indonesia way back in 1992 – over 20 years ago! Then the whole country
rejoiced.
Today it was Tok Guru Nik Aziz in Putrajaya after
Friday Prayers. He gave the people around him a reason to rejoice simply because he had joined them for Friday Prayers.
Is this a precursor of what is to come during this 13th general
election? Are these the last days for Barisan Nasional in Putrajaya because change that the people want has finally come to Putrajaya in the presence of TGNA amongst them? Maybe yes maybe no but the tsunami was surely started today at the Masjid in Putrajaya by TGNA!
What we saw was a spontaneous outpouring of joy by the people of Putrajaya and
that ‘feel good’ oomph of having such a respected, decent and holy man in their midst.
The privilege of sharing a mosque with TGNA to say their Friday prayers is more
than any of them had expected as they made their way to the Putrajaya mosque for
Friday prayers on that day. As word of Tok Guru’s presence rippled through the
Friday crowd the air of excitement grew thick with keshukuran that they have TGNA with them...…and it all
exploded in joy after prayers when they could give vent and express
their thanks and happiness at TGNA's presence.
And the man at the center of all this…TGNA…what of
him?
Unruffled, unfazed and totally at ease with what was going on
around him. Totally unaware that he was the cause of it all. He does not know
he is Pakatan Rakyat’s Superstar! He does not know what he means to all of us
who are starved of having a hero in politics and yet out of it. A politician
who is not a politician.
Ya Allah we give thanks for putting TGNA amongst us
for surely he will guide us all to the Malaysia we need and the Malaysia that we
want.
I know that DSAI, Lim Kit Siang and Karpal and Hadi will take their cue from what happened in Putrajaya today and they will
know that the tide has truly turned to their advantage as of today. Be afraid
UMNO be very afraid!
I know some day It will come to this....TGNA,the modern day Buddha,Ghandi and what have you......Malaysian should wake up and see him as a person,a human being just like the rest of us but who was sent to us to lead us.....to be our leader.
ReplyDeleteA Mentri Besar for many years yet he go on living as a simple and humble man just like any kampung folks. A true Muslim who never make use of his position to enrich himself. Comparing him with the UMNO appointed metri besars is like comparing gold with cow dung. Pray he will be blessed with good health.
