On the left is Nurul. On the right Anwar. Our hope for the present and the future together! ABU!

SELAMAT PAGI MALAYSIA!

I saw this early this morning...and it gladden my heart and pulled at my heart strings! This could be you or me. This could be our family member, our sahabat...it could be any Malaysian!

No UTK bodyguards. No fawning entourage swarming around to cater for your every need in the hope that you will throw some crumbs their way.

Just a Father and Daughter moment! But not any Father not any Daughter! The one on the right is Anwar Ibrahim, leader of the opposition and Prime Minister designate. On the left is Nurul Izzah - Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai and also Prime Minister designate in time to come.

There you have it...our hope for the present and our hope for the future! Together!

Take a look. Take a good look for you might never see them this way again for a long while once this 13th general election is over and they are called upon to serve our Nation as the government of the day in Putrajaya. The burden of public office in the coming days will ask much of those that put themselves forward to be our leaders.

For now let it be just what it is....a Father in need of a daughter's concern and love in a moment of quiet.

  1. Wow, how did they capture this picture? Very touching. Right this moment, it's just a father and daughter.....love it!

  2. It is a pity that he dealt with the matter of his wife's nomination in such an imperious manner. In this day and age when women outperform men in a number of fields (where they get a level playing field), this is delusional and will cost quite a few votes.

  3. Yes, Encik Hussein

I remember how YB Nurul Izzah was only about 17 years old when
    her father was
arrested and beaten almost to death.

And one contemptible person actually said that Anwar could have given himself the black eye!
This person is probably having sleepless nights these days
as his bete noir may very well become the next PM of Malaysia.
