The earliest Beatle single I know of featured a guy named Tony Sheridan on lead vocals (the Beatles were just his back-up band). The songs were "My Bonnie" and "Take Out Some Insurance On Me." Anyone want to make me an offer for this collector's item? :-)
I remember this movie as a school boy which showed at the Federal theatre beside my kampung in Penang,Jalan Datuk Keramat ! A very nostalgic feeling really ! Asalam & thanks man !
Seeing this video really brings back happy memories of 1964. We were spoilt for choices with groups like the Dave Clark 5, Herman's Hermits, The Searchers, Peter & Gordon, The Rolling Stones, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Manfred Mann and of course, The Beatles. Wow .... those Merseybeat and Liverpool sounds. We just don't get them these days anymore.
A very nostalgic number. Could you find The Beatle's All Quiet On The Mersey Front? I think they did it with The George Martin's Orchestra.
ReplyDeletePak are you certain tha the Beatles did All Quiet On The Mersey Front? Unable to find anything - will keep trying and see what I come up with. Salam
