steadyaku47 comment :  Maybe times have change...maybe PDRM have changed. You see, about five decades ago...in the late 1960's and early 1970's....my late father was then in the police as Director of CID under Tun Haniff Omar. 

Never, in all the time that we have sat down together to talk, did my late father ever mention Umno. Never did he talk about politics. Never did he talk about the Malays, the Chinese, the Indians or any Malaysian in a derogatory or disrespectful manner.    

His work was to keep the peace, protect the people from harm and keep them safe and secure from whoever that could do them harm. He wore his uniform with pride and I was proud to see my father all dressed with my mother by his side whenever they had to attend official functions....and on those occasions we children would walk them to their official police car that would take them to the functions and wait, usually in our bed past midnight, for them to return.

I remember Tun Haniff Omar for what he did not do! 

He never played politics. 

There were times when I saw images of Tun Haniff in the papers with his political masters...always at a respectful distance away...always in the background  and always never saying a word. In the times that he was himself the centre of attention as the media crowd around him for any briefing...it was always about police work. About the security of the nation. About any danger that threatens the community and the country. He cut such a dashing figure in his uniform and in the manner he carried himself...and I always like to remind my late father that his boss, Tun Haniff, and me were from MCKK!

Long after my father had passed away I finally did get to spend a few hours talking to Tun Haniff. He was still as I remembered him from the days when he was my father's boss..... a good man, a man you are grateful to have met and known and a man who was economical with his words and yet, what he spoke off, were words that I still  remember  until today. And then I saw him again at an Old Boys week at MCKK when I went there with my late Uncle Ibrahim Musang, who was the Head Boy of MCKK before Tun Haniff. And I was privileged to see these two old Head Boys of MCKK greeting each other and taking up conversation again after so many years apart as if they had last met the day before....but I digress.

I was talking about my late Father and Tun Hanff Omar.....two Police Officers who seems to be worlds apart from this Twit of an IGP that we now have! Two Police Officers who stand head and shoulder above this Twit of an IGP who runs around doing the bidding of his political masters even when unasked....who play politics as if his very life depends on it.

Or maybe it does! Maybe he measures his self-worth by the number of bones that his political masters throw his way when they are pleased with what this dog of an IGP have done for them! 

This Twit of an IGP brings shame not only to those who have served the Police Force with honor and distinction...but it brings shame to many many Malaysians who see what was once an honourable PDRM now become sullied and dishorned by the antics of this Twit of an IGP. God help us all.
