steadyaku47 comment : Good read - exotic lifestyle fuelled by drug dealings over....maybe this may put some sense into those dealing with the other drug... "dedak" - for the giver and the taker beware!

Darren Mohr flashed his untold wealth on social media, posing in front of his Rolls Royce and on his yacht and blatantly showing his luxury watches while his girlfriend Krissy Marsh beamed by his side.
The 42-year-old former Bondi café owner has now been arrested along with 14 other men accused of trying to import the largest collective haul of drugs seized in Australian law enforcement history.

Authorities will allege a gang of 15 men used fishing trawlers in a bid to move cocaine from South America to Australia.
Mr Mohr was among those arrested, with photos showing him sitting in the gutter surrounded by a throng of police with his large, tattooed arms wearing shackles instead of a preferred luxury watch.

In one recent post showing the laughing couple aboard a yacht, the mother-of-two boasted that "2017 is going to be so much fun".

"All the cars bikes and boats mean nothing unless you got someone along for the ride. Always by my side," Mr Mohr wrote in one loving note to his girlfriend.
When police pounced on Mr Mohr, they searched his yacht moored in Sydney Harbour but nothing was said to be found.
Members of the alleged ring were swept up in a string of Christmas and Boxing Day raids, the culmination of a complex two-and-a-half-year investigation into suspected drug trafficking by commercial fishermen allegedly run out of the Sydney Fish Markets.

Detectives pounced on a handful of the accused smugglers on Christmas night, seizing about 500 kilograms of cocaine from a boat as it pulled up to a ramp on the NSW Central Coast.
It will be alleged the group tried to import another 600 kilograms of cocaine into Australia, but the shipment was intercepted off the coast of Tahiti in March.

The combined cocaine seizures, worth around $360 million on the street, were the largest in the country's law enforcement history, Australian Federal Police Acting Assistant Commissioner Chris Sheehan said on Thursday.

Mr Sheehan said the taskforce was "confident we have gone from the top to the bottom".
"It has taken them completely out of business," he said.
"We have ongoing enquiries, particularly in South America and other parts of the world, to look at who they were dealing with."

cakap cakap....saturday afternoon.

Saturday afternoon...and all is quiet in our apartment and out on the streets of Fitzroy where we live. I was out briefly around noon today to collect my boarding pass for my trip to Sydney esok....cheapest fare available, first flight out at 6.45 AM and both batteries for my mobile already charged to the max. On the way back from getting my boarding pass I stopped to get a couple of Pitango Soup for my wife for her lunch and dinner when I am not around tomorrow. Heat and serve and nutritious - my wife's favorite.

It is 4.45 PM now. She is resting and asleep.

I am thinking of starting to Vlog.

What is vlog (video blog)? - Definition from WhatIs.com

whatis.techtarget.com › Topics › Learning Tools › Video
A vlog (or video blog) is a blog that contains video content. The small, but growing, segment of the blogosphere devoted to vlogs is sometimes referred to as the vlogosphere. Some bloggers have included video content for years.

The operational word here is "starting to think" ...I have not gone beyond thinking yet....no that is not entirely correct. With my son assist, I have done some trial runs. Lights camera and action sort of stuff. My diction is okay but everything else is up in the air.

Not just in the "looks" department (who wants to watch a 69-year old man talk!) but confidence and belief in my ability to go to this next level of blogging, is between "can" and "cannot"....."boleh"...."tak boleh".

My son tells me that this is the next level for bloggers.  I have watched some of these Vloggers doing their "thing". It is a challenge. Here is one of Casey Neistat - a leading light amongst Vloggers. In this video, he had been given an infringement notice by NYPD for NOT riding his bicycle in the bike lane. What he does here is show why it is not possible to ride in the bike lane ALL THE TIME and you can see in the video what happened. This video has been watched 17 million times and counting!

So do I Vlog or don't I? I will do more trial runs and then decide....between us, I would like to do a trial run for real in this blog.....maybe next week.

I know now that I cannot do without my Samsung Smart Phone...how I have managed to do so until a few weeks ago is testimony to that maxim "What you do not know will not hurt you!". ....and yet I do ask myself how much more I could have done if I did know! It took my son to insist that he must get me one to try....I tried, and now I know it is a tool I cannot do without in blogging. I am still trying to understand why it is that I do not have to pay for whatsapp phone calls to any part of the world...just too good to be true.... to be able to talk to someone in London, Moscow or Canada for zilch! Amazing!

I read about Anwar's daughter, Nurul, telling us that her father's choice to reconcile with Mahathir was not easy "The fact that my father shook his hand and managed a warm smile, symbolised the importance of moving forward to strengthen Malaysia's democracy rather than focusing on personal suffering"...translation : That's what politician do to remain relevant.

Leave it be Nurul....they are all grown men and they know what they do....what matters now is the future....moving forward...so at least we are agreed on that!

Sometimes I think I talk too much...and if Anwar reads what I write then I am in trouble. But I do wish that I am in trouble with Anwar because that would mean he is out of Sungai Buloh and can hantam me! That would be another day we can look forward to in the hopefully near future...his walk to freedom...again!

Until then...Lawan Mesti Lawan!

cakap cakap...Friday evening and all is not well!

I was in Sydney yesterday. No urusan negara. No urusan for the opposition. Just my own urusan of which there will be more to write about if things does develop. It was a day trip and I had to be at the Melbourne Tullamarine airport by 7 AM which meant leaving my place at 6 AM when the temeprature outside is also 6 degrees. One of those times in my life when I was not too keen on the number 6. I had thermal underwear all over, a shirt, a sweater and a wind cheater...and damm, I still felt the cold! Too cold to wait for the tram so I reluctantly accorded myself the luxury of hailing a taxi for the ride to Southern Cross to get the SkyBus to the Airport. Short flight and it did not helped when the Captain announced that we will be landing shortly at Sydney where the temperature is 4 degrees and wet!

Sydney reminds me of Singapore. Towering buildings all around you, organized chaos and everything ticks over like clockwork and you can feel "world class" reverberating from your surroundings. No...nothing of Sydney reminded me of K Hell. Nothing.

I had things to do and people to see. Had a quick Malaysian lunch in Broadway and then headed for the nearby Broadway Shopping center because my Mobile battery had conked out. Headed for the nearest telephone kiosk and asked for a battery for my Samsung mobile. The guy behind the counter extended his hand to me and said "Apa Khabar" ....a Malaysian from Sabah. We had a quick chat as he was replacing the battery for me and said our goodbyes quickly because there was a line of customers behind me also waiting to be served.

Then it was back to doing things I had to do and people I had to meet.

By 7pm I was on my way back to the airport for my flight back to Melbourne.

Flying when you tell your travel agent that you want the "cheapest flight available" means that it is all that you can afford... which means no gantry for entry into the plane...you take a long cold windy walk on the tarmac, climb the stairs to the plane and sit down where ever they sit you down. I was back in Melbourne just past midnight. My wife was already asleep but my son waited up for me. It was good to be home!

Friday, the Muslim sunat day (nudge nudge wink wink...) is almost over. It is past 9.30 PM  and I am sitting at my desk "working" on my blogs. The first article I wrote about the Sydney trip has simply disappeared. When I clicked "Publish" the screen went blank and I could not retrieve it from anywhere...poof disappear into thin air...and so I had to write it again...here. I do not know if the viruses in my computer are working to make life difficult for me again...but lawan mesti lawan.

Enough for now. I want to have dinner and then maybe write some more before sleep....and in between I want to spend some quality time with the Mrs.I do not know if she knows I have been to Sydney and back yesterday but I will tell her about it anyhow. Yes she does not say anything back but I think she listens...and that is good enough for me. Life is good.
