VENEZUELAN PRESIDENT HUGO CHAVEZ PASSES AWAY

It has been reported in Venezuela that President Hugo Chavez has died after a long battle with cancer
Vice President Nicolas Maduro reportedly took to Venezuelan television to announce the 58-year-old had passed away.
He had been suffering an undisclosed pelvic cancer since June 2011 however still managed to win reelection last year.
An announcement was made on Tuesday saying Chavez had taken a turn for the worse, plunging the oil-rich country deeper into uncertainty.
Hours after the somber medical bulletin, Vice President Nicolas Maduro held a meeting with the cabinet, military officers and state governors at the presidential palace to "define strategies regarding various projects for the development of our country," according to state-run television.
