  2. Judging from the comments in your blog as well as those in Malaysiakini and Malaysia-Today, I see that on one hand we do not want corruption but on the other hand, so many of us are prepared to accept people who have serious character flaws to be our leaders. I suppose the argument is that this is fine as long as we can kick out BN. Perhaps we should read George Orwell's Animal Farm!

KeAdilan is full of frogs, most DAP grassroots leaders are still the "Harlem" type, and PAS is still too Islamic to rule. PR should look further ahead. Be brace to dismount from the DSAI tiger and prepare for NOT only the next GE, but many many GEs ahead.

  3. I visited a Malay family in England (friends of a friend) and I was bowled over by the apparent wealth in the manor they were living in complete with an English butler. The master of the house, though rich was pleasant, though tied to some scandals, looked unperturbed and content. If I were Anwar, I would opt for that kind of life (and I am sure the government would pay him well to set him up somewhere). So why is he still out there. To be PM and juggle 3 disparate parties and get migraines everyday? To be rich? That man in England can outdo our Agong in terms of opulence.
