Claudio: "O, what men dare do! What men may do! What men daily do, not knowing what they do!"
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak…what will you do if I say that you are a corrupt man? That though you think yourself worthy to be President of UMNO I say that you are not worthy of the trust of the people of Malaysia to be the Prime Minister of the country?
Men before you have sought the office of Prime Minister of this country for the privilege of serving its people. They seek the office of Prime Minister of this country for the singular honor of leading its people to do great endeavors and to assist them to fulfill their aspirations of living a good life with their families.
None has seek the office of Prime Minister as a place of refuge for criminal acts. We will not wait for tomorrow, and tomorrow and tomorrow. Today is good enough a day to tell you that we do not want the office of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to be your refuge from your responsibility to confront first the question of:
· Your involvement in the payment of RM$500 million commission to Razak Baginda for the purchase of the Submarine from the French.
· Your part in the murder of Altantuya.
These matters can no longer wait. It is impossible to ignore. Too physically out there in your face to deflect. A self fulfilling prophecy of your guilt that is even now making a mockery of your pretense that it will be “ business as usual”.
If you are of the opinion that the office of Prime Minister will keep you above the law, above taking responsibility for your deeds – and more important, not allow yourself to be investigated, cross examined and eventually be judged for what you have done – then I suggest you think again.
Stand up, bow to the inevitable and submit yourself to the process of being judged by your peers. If you do not go now, going at a time when you cannot decide the manner and the timing of your going because it has been forced upon you, will be more difficult and more humilating.
Once again I reinterate. We cannot have a corrupt man as our Prime Minister. Go clear yourself in the law courts and in the arena of public opinion. As Mark twain said:
“Its name is public opinion. It is held in reverence. It settles everything. Some think it is the voice of God. The Public is the only critic whose judgement is worth anything at all”
