In Africa, we have this thing called the indaba. It’s a custom where members of a tribe or community will gather around a sitting area and discuss what needs to be discussed. We incorporated the indaba concept in my family. A time to air out our issues. Anything on your mind, talk about it, don’t keep it inside. It can get fiery but it is so essential for a family to communicate openly like this.

Gary Player is one of the greatest golfers in the history of the game. He is also an accomplished entrepreneur, philanthropist and activist. He is the only golfer to have ever won a grand slam on both the Regular PGA Tour and the Senior PGA Tour. Gary is the CEO of Black Knight International, a company involved in golf course design and, real estate. Gary also founded The Gary Player Foundation, which provides education for underprivileged children and strengthens impoverished communities. Gary has been married to his wife Vivienne for over fifty years and together they have six children and 20 grandchildren.
