KUALA LUMPUR, April 6, 2015:
The police are still investigating the
identity of the operations assistant that perished in the Semenyih
helicopter crash last Saturday.
Selangor police chief Datuk Abdul Samah
Mat said a woman had come forth to claim the body at the Hospital Kuala
Lumpur (HKL) this morning and had been identified as Aidana Baizieva’s
step-sister.
Baizieva’s name was in the flight manifest released by the Transport Ministry on the night of the crash.
Abdul Samah said the woman’s genes
were not strong enough to make a comparison with that of the victim,
believed to be from Kyrgyzstan.
“We are working on identifying the body and getting the report from the hospital.”
He added the team investigating the tragedy had found a handbag that is believed to have belonged to the victim.
