MCA president cum Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and MCA deputy president cum Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Wee Ka Siong reveal the consensus reached in the Cabinet in a press conference of Transport Ministry today.
Liow said Prime Minister and the Cabinet reiterated today that development of Chinese primary school is protected under Federal Constitution. Issue on closure of Chinese primary school does not exist.

“Not the Constitution, I said Sections 377(a), (b), (c) and (d), it’s not the Constitution; I think it was misquoted,” said Jamil, who is in charge of Islamic affairs and head of the Malaysian Department of Islamic Development (Jakim), in clarifying that he was referring to the Penal Code.
