All that is wrong with Najib Razak - the President of the United Malays National Organization, Member of the Malaysian Parliament for Pekan, Chairman of Barisan Nasional, Minister of Finance, Prime Minister of Malaysian and last but certainly not least, husband of Rosmah Mansor - is encapsulated in the manner the latest incident to blight our nation, that of the Helicopter tragedy at Semenyeh that took the lives of six people, is now being handled.
Let me list the obvious first:
- Since when has Malaysian husbands attend important weddings without their wives?
- The mix of businessmen, government official/politician and political aide to the high and mighty in circumstances that could cause others to question the "arms length" separation considered proper for good governance is obviously lacking if we are to examine the passenger manifest of the doomed Helicopter - and the occasion that allowed for this cozy "get together" is the wedding of the Prime Minister's daughter! The questions that need to be answered includes who paid for the Heli charter and is this "cozy" mix of business and politics one of the reasons corruption is rife within this BN government?
- Who is Aidiana Baiziera? Why has it taken so long for the public to be informed as to the circumstances of her presence on that ill fated Heli flight?
- Who made the decision to lay Tan Sri Jamalulddin Jarjis at the Heroes Mausoleum and why?
What we are seeing unfolding is what has been the hall mark of Najib's administration - from Altantuya, to Sodomy Two, to 1MDB and now to this Heli Tragedy at Semenyeh. Two words:
COVER UP.
In front of our very eyes, with the national and world media watching and with thousands upon hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Malaysian hanging on to every bit of information coming out from any source, official or otherwise about the heli tragedy - we can already see a familiar pattern emerging from the tragedy.
Six people died - we know who the five are but not the sixth : Not Aidiana Baiziera. I have only one question for the powers that be :
WHY?
Cover up, lies, complicity between business and politics for financial gain, the break down of the family unit, the lack of ethics and morals in everything that he does - all this defines Najib Razak's tenure as Prime Minister. And none more so than this latest tragedy that we see unfolding in the last few days.
This is Najib's "normal". This is Najib in his everyday "mode". Najib never being honest, Najib never having the courage to say what has to be said and do what has to be done. Najib having others do the dirty work for him. This is the Najib we know....this is the Najib we no longer want as our Prime Minister.
