All the Usual Suspect.....

Datuk Seri Najib Razak said today the government was committed to ensuring that the implementation of the goods and services tax (GST) would not burden the people. "Our aim of implementing the GST is not to burden the people. We implement the GST in a way to minimise the burden on the people.....We will implement the GST without burdening the people. At the same time, we will raise the nation's revenue, and that is for the people's good".

"Our aim of implementing the GST is not to burden the people. We implement the GST in a way to minimise the burden on the people. No other country has given as many zero-rated GST and exemptions as we have.

"This goes to show that the government really does not want to burden the people. We will implement the GST without burdening the people. At the same time, we will raise the nation's revenue, and this is for the people's good," he said. - See more at: http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/government-will-ensure-people-not-burdened-by-gst-says-najib-bernama#sthash.cWyeYeRr.dpuf
From today, April Fools Day, we will see again all the usual suspects being paraded onto the public stage by this Umno led BN government to tell the Rakyat the same story they tell every time they come up with anything not to benefit the Rakyat but to benefit themselves and their cronies.

This time around the "usual suspects", starting with this guy below, will talk up the GST!

He is the head of the Royal Malaysian Customs. A Datuk for now , maybe a Tan Sri before he retires for his "services to Najib" in trying to collect the billions of Ringgits Najib's government says will come into the government coffers from the implementation of this GST without burdening the Rakyat!

Yesterday Khazai warned that those who increased their profit margin for the next 15 months following the introduction of the GST would be penalised.

"So, for example, if their profit margin was 10%, they cannot increase that for the next 18 months from January this year," he told a press conference at the Custom Complex.

He said officers would carry out random checks to determine if traders increased their margins.

Really? And how will he and his officers do this?

We are already losing billions from smuggled cigarettes and diesel because customs officers are complicit with smugglers in the racket to deny the Government of what is their due. Zahid Hamidi says he knows of over 500 smuggling points along the Thai border where smuggling are being done. 500  smuggling points and the government cannot monitor! How will Khazai's officers going to monitor the thousands of retailers involved in GST?

And we already know what comes next!

Who will be first on the firing line as prices rise and burden the already suffering Rakyat? And the government cannot reach the targeted GST "income" projected?

The retailers of course who are taking advantage of the implementation of the GST for their own gain.

And who are the majority of the retailers?

The Chinese and the Christians of course!

And so another reason for the Malays and their champion Umno to hantam the Chinese and the Christians! The usual suspects within Umno and the ultra Malay groups are all ready with their posters and eagerly looking forward to the extra "pocket money" promised as they spontaneously come out to demonstrate against the Chinese and the Christians for taking advantage of the GST for personal gain!

And what was it that Najib said at the start of this posting?

"Our aim of implementing the GST is not to burden the people. We implement the GST in a way to minimise the burden on the people.....We will implement the GST without burdening the people. At the same time, we will raise the nation's revenue, and that is for the people's good".

Not burdening the people? My foot he is not burdening the people....Ptui!
