Tony Pua in Adelaide

To those Malaysian who are in Adelaide and anybody else with an interest of things Malaysian who are in Adeliade:

I am not someone who is pro Barisan Nasional or anti Barisan Nasional. Neither am I pro Pakatan Rakyat or anti Pakatan Rakyat. But I am pro common sense. We are all now in Adelaide – a long way from home. If you read what I write then you must also surf the net for news from home and news about home…and like me follow the happenings back home with much interest and concern. We know everything that happens in KL almost in real time – as soon as it is in the public domain we will have access to it. What we lack is face-to-face contact with those that make the news and are the news in KL.

We have an opportunity to change this on 19th September  - this Sunday at 3pm in Adelaide at:

The Chapel, Lincoln College
Brougham Place
North Adelaide.

Tony Pua, Member of Parliament for Petaling Jaya Utara under DAP and also the party’s National Publicity Secretary will be there to talk to you, discuss with you and answer your questions on anything political in DAP, Pakatan Rakyat and in   Malaysia that is within his ability to do so.

It does not matter if you are pro or against the DAP. Whether you are a Malay, Chinese or Indian -  from Sabah or Sarawak! What gender or religion you are too does not matter. This is an opportunity to dialogue with a young an articulate politician.

Tony is the former Malaysian CEO of Cyber Village Sdn Bhd, a SESDAQ (SGX secondary board)-listed company. In early 2007, he disposed of all his interests in the company and tendered his resignation to join the Democratic Action Party (DAP). My enquiry from a friend in KL as to who this Tony Pua was got this response:

“Intelligent, self centered, Lim Kit Siang / Lim Guan Eng blue-eyed boy. New in politics”.

And that is enough to get me to be there to see for myself what this new generation of DAP politician would be like. I hope as many of you in Adelaide will be there for this opportunity to meet face to face with a politician from home who would be able to give us some direct input of things back home.

Come with an open mind ready to debate, discuss and listen to what he has to say - and let us disappoint Tony because he tells me that “I don't expect too many people”

And if it was worth your while then we await the arrival of Lim Guan Eng on the 1st of October....the other Lion from Penang!

Regards.

  2. If you meet him, please ask him 2 things;

    1. Rocket Cafe in SS2 - for 10% share of the profits, DAP allowed its logo to be placed on the floor. Did DAP do a due diligence on their restaurant "partners" to check their backgrounds??

    2. DAP Paramount branch - what happened to the funds there?? Where is the audited accounts?

    Thank you.
