India To Iron Out Issues Before MoU To Recruit English Teachers For M'sia

By M. Saraswathi

NEW DELHI, Sept 9 (Bernama) -- India needs to iron out some issues between Putrajaya and New Delhi before a memorandum of understanding (MoU) can be signed on recruiting English teachers from India.

"The MoU is still under study in the ministry," India's Minister of Human Resources Development, Smriti Irani told Malaysia's Education Deputy Minister P. Kamalanathan during their bilateral meeting here today.

She said once both governments sat down together and ironed out some issues of concern, the MoU could then be signed.

"If we can have some decisions on mutually agreeable issues, I am sure that MoU can be accepted," she said when asked on the progress of the report on an MoU that was submitted by the Malaysian Government on recruiting teachers from India who are skilled in the English Language to teach in Malaysia.

The idea was mooted by Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak during his visit to New Delhi in 2012.

Before the MOU is signed saya cadangkan Ministry of Education take note of the following video which I and my team of I, me and saya, have gone to great lengths and expense to have them available for public screening - at no expense to the Malaysian government.
