UPSR leaks: Two suspended.

September 12, 2014

DPM says director of Examinations Syndicate and deputy director of operations suspended.

VIENTIANE: Malaysian Examinations Syndicate director Na’imah Ishak has been suspended with immediate effect over the leaks in this year’s Primary School Achievement Test (UPSR) examination papers, Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin announced here today.

He also announced that the syndicate’s deputy director of operations Wan Ilias Wan Salleh had also been similarly suspended.

“The Education Ministry must take urgent and firm action because incidents like this will raise questions about the integrity of the examination syndicate and the overall public examinations system in the country,” he told a press conference after attending the 8th Asean Education Ministers Meeting here Friday.

He said the decision to suspend the duo was taken because they had to take responsibility for the fiasco which resulted in the cancellation of the English 014/1 and 014/2 and Science 018, 028 and 038 papers.

If you hang out with chickens, you're going to cluck and if you hang out with eagles, you're going to fly. Is Muhyiddin the chicken in the Ministry of Education?

Muhyiddin as the Minister of Education must take responsibility for the success and failures within his Ministry...and God knows there have been plenty of failures but not much success to talk about since he took over the Ministry!
  •                        Your position as its Minister implies a responsibility. When you neglect that responsibility things will go wrong as it had with this exam leak.
  •                       As Minister of Education you have an obligation to do what is  right for the education of young Malaysians. There have been too many leaks in exam papers under your watch for our liking - so you are doing wrong there!
  •                      The executive power you have within the Ministry means you have a duty of care not only to the nations young but also to those working in the Ministry!

Be a Man!
You are the Minister of Education.  You have to take responsibility of things going wrong in your Ministry because nobody else can. At most Na’imah Ishak and Wan Ilias Wan Salleh and YOU as it's Minister,  must take collective responsibility for what went wrong. If those two have been suspended what punishments will you be given for your part in the fiasco? Be a man Muhyiddin and take your punishment! Do not seek others to blame for the mistakes within your Ministry. If anything goes wrong you put up your hands and say "Its my fault!". Do not be a Dayus!

DAYUS!
DAYUS!
DAYUS!
