Government does not know how to mislead the people, says Najib
September 20, 2011
PUTRAJAYA, Sept 20 — The government does not know how to mislead
Malaysians or manipulate historical fact, unlike the opposition, Prime Minister
Datuk Seri Najib Razak was quoted by Bernama Online as saying today.
He also said that Barisan Nasional (BN) had always championed the
importance of bringing progress to the nation and prosperity to its people.

We now go not
only into the realms of fantasy and the taking of our people not only into the
promises of the “never never” but also into the world of denial.
Denial that
the Barisan Nasional government does not know how to mislead the people.
Denial that
the “transformation curve” Najib talks up at each and every opportunity he has
is simply a mirage of massive proportions that seeks to deceive the people.
That the progress and prosperity it claims to be bringing to the people are just empty promises that
time will confirm that Najib and his BN government did indeed have misled the
people of this nation.
And the
prophesying that Armageddon would descend upon our nation should Pakatan
Rakyat be victorious at the 13th general election is Najibs at his
worse : pandering to racial and religious sentiments that only belittles the
office of our Prime Minister and his championing of 1 Malaysia.
If there are
promises made that are not kept, targets set that are not achieved and
commitments alluded to but not concluded it certainly has come from Najib and
the Barisan Nasional government more than from Pakatan Rakyat. I am not here to
put Pakatan Rakyat on a pedestal and say that there are the paragon of honesty and
decency but Pakatan Rakyat and Barisan Nasional are like chalk and cheese.
When I think
of Barisan Nasional these are some of the things that comes to mind.Altantuya, PKFZ, Teoh Beng
Hock, Kugan, Aminuirasyid, Lingam, a failed MACC, a corrupt PDRM used by BN and
compromised almost beyond redemption, massive corruption, money politics,
cronies, prime ministers using their executive powers to benefit family, BN and
cronies, the ISA (still alive and well as of today!), the pedophile Chief
Minister of Malacca, our Raba Raba Ambassador in Washington, a Judiciary
tainted, a First Lady who does not know her place in life and a First Lady that
certainly does not have a place in the hearts of our people….and swirling like
a thick black dirty cloud over all this is the stench of materialism gone mad.
Greed, avarice and arrogance permeates every orifice, every nook and cranny
that UMNO and BN has.
When I think
of Pakatan Rakyat what comes to mind is DSAI and his follies – both personal
and within PKR, the decision by PR’s first tier leadership to err on the side
of caution rather then to act decisively on this problem, the goings on in
Selangor ….. and…..and… nothing
else really. Nothing else of any significance!
You Najib has
accuse the opposition of wanting to change certain
long-held precedents, such as the nation’s history and the national flag, as
they see fit. So here at least you and I do agree that that would be about all
that we can add to what I have already said about Pakatan Rakyat.
By any stretch
of the imagination I do think that Armageddon would be befall the country
should the opposition take over Putrajaya! Armageddon will befell our country
if we allow BN to continue in
Putrajaya!
When he first
became PM I thought Najib was a Prime Minister of promise but as each day
passes, he seems more to be a Prime Minister of promises then a Prime Minister
of promise….and empty promises at that! As Shirley MacLaine said “It is useless
to hold a person to anything he says while he is in love, drunk, or running for
office”…now I do not think Najib is drunk, in love maybe but he is definitely
running for office!
All those in UMNO does not believe a word Najib had said
about the repeal of the ISA. How can they when they themselves know that if
they were in Najib’s position they too will promise the people anything they
want just as long as they will continue to stay in power.
"With lies you
may get ahead in the world - but you can never go back".
Russian proverb
Russian proverb
UMNO will find it impossible to go back. UMNO is a political
organization that now controls enough votes to maintain political and
administrative control over our country. Corruption and a widening racial
divide are the critical ingredients it requires for its survival. It would be
wishful thinking to expect UMNO to do anything to weakened this political
machinery – and so my friends take whatever Najib says in the spirit that it is
said : He will say whatever it is
we want to hear him say and damm the future.
Najib's lies may take care of
the present. It may even give him the impression that the 13th general election is winnable...but we are already wise to UMNO ways. In the coming days we will await more "transformation" announcements, more economic initiatives and certainly many more promises of the good things to come but only if UMNO remains in Putrajaya.
We will wait and see what they promise us. I for one believe that given enough rope, Najib and UMNO will hang themselves.
Now if only Pakatan Rakyat will ready themselves for what is to come we would all be together in Putrajaya before the 2012 durian season is over!
